Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that in history the same caste and community survives, which makes the valor, valor and sacrifice of its ancestors a part of life. CM Yogi was addressing the program organized at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha at Padleganj, Gorakhpur on Sunday. On this occasion, he inaugurated tourism development works, new forms of Gurdwara Bhavan and expansion works of basic facilities. The Chief Minister listened to Guruvani and joined the Sangat in the conference organized on the 421st Prakash Parv of the Holy Guru Granth Sahib. On behalf of the Gurudwara Committee, he was honored by offering a logo, sword and wearing a shawl.

The Chief Minister said that the tradition of Sikh Gurus is unique and unwavering. From Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Govind Singh Ji Maharaj, every Guru sacrificed himself to protect Sanatan Dharma and the nation. He said that whenever there was a crisis on Indian culture, Sikh Gurus went ahead and saved it from their sacrifice.

CM Yogi especially remembered the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. He said that in the 350th year of his sacrifice, programs are being organized across the country. Shortly before, this event started through Nagar Kirtan and Kirtan recitation from Chief Minister’s residence. Similarly, Guruvani was organized for the first time at the Chief Minister’s residence on the 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj.

‘Four Sahibzadas sacrifice the glorious chapter in Indian history’

CM Yogi recalled the sacrifices of Guru Govind Singh Ji Maharaj’s four Sahibzadas Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. He said that his sacrifice is a glorious chapter in Indian history.

He said that when he was lured to accept Islam, both life and princely state would be safe, but they chose the path of sacrifice instead of bowing. The younger Sahibzadas were martyred by selecting them in the wall, but they showed firm loyalty to protect their religion and nation.

The Chief Minister said that this sacrifice inspires all of us today. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 26 December is being celebrated as ‘Veer Children’s Day’ all over the country. This is a historic decision to pay tribute to the sacrifice of Sikh Gurus and Sahibzadas.

Extension of facilities in gurudwaras

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this gurdwara of Padleganj has been the faith center of Sikh Sangat for years. Earlier there was a lack of facilities here, but now with the help of the tourism department and the government it has been given a modern form.

Now Guruvani recitation, langar and other religious programs and better facilities for devotees will be able to be done here. He said that the gurudwara is not limited to any caste or community only. Every person who comes here is welcome. This is the Sikh tradition and the real message of Guruvani.

CM Yogi expressed gratitude to Sikh tradition

CM Yogi said that the work has been done to give better forms to three major Gurdwaras of Gorakhpur, Jatashankar, Mohdipur and Padleganj. This is a symbol of our gratitude and reverence towards the Sikh Guru tradition. CM Yogi said that today is also a holy day for us because on the same day 421 years ago, Guru Granth Sahib Ji was installed in Harmandir Sahib and accepted as Guru.

This tradition is still the center of faith and reverence all over the world. He said that Sikh Gurus dedicated every moment of their life to the welfare of the country, religion and humanity. Today it is our responsibility to express their gratitude to their teachings and sacrifice and work with full devotion to protect the nation and religion.

CM Yogi appreciated the contribution of Sikh community in Gorakhpur

Underlining the role of the Sikh community in Gorakhpur, the CM said that the event is an opportunity to unite the Sikh community of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Referring to his regular Guruparva events in Lucknow, he said that it is a special good fortune for him to participate in such an event in Gorakhpur.

He said that Guru tradition dedicated his life to the country and Sanatan Dharma, with his inspiration, we have to work with full honesty for the country and religion. During this, MPs like MP Ravi Kishan Shukla, Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, BJP’s State Vice President and MLC Dr. Dharmendra Singh, MLA Vipin Singh, Mahendrapal Singh, Dr. Vimlesh Paswan, Pradeep Shukla, Mahant Ravindra Das of Kalibari, Ravindra Das, a member of the State Minorities Commission, were present.

BJP MLA Thakur Ramveer Singh from Kundarki Assembly of Moradabad, UP organized a program in Lucknow, which he named a “family”. About 40 Thakur MLAs associated with the Thakur fraternity attended the event.

BJP MLA Thakur Ramveer Singh from Kundarki in Moradabad gave clarification about the mass banquet. He said that the program was completely social, it has nothing to do with politics. People of all classes and religions were invited under the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
