Amidst the politics over prohibition law in Bihar, RJD has said that it will give proof. On Wednesday (February 25, 2026), RJD MLC Sunil Singh made a big claim. Sunil Singh told the media that there is no such place where you pay money and liquor will not be delivered. If you want to prove it, then on the last day of the House, i.e. 27th, we will get the liquor delivered here (Assembly).

RJD MLC Sunil Singh said, “After the ban, the consumption of liquor in Bihar is many times more than what it was before the prohibition law was implemented in 2016. This fact is not hidden from anyone. He said that the area of ​​Bihar is 94 thousand kilometres, the neighboring states of UP, Bengal, Jharkhand and one country Nepal are its borders. There is no liquor ban in these places. In such a situation, you can never imagine that liquor will not come to Bihar.”

‘The one who does not get alcohol has become a victim of dry intoxication’

Sunil Singh said that today our young generation is completely ruined. The one who is not getting alcohol has become a victim of dry intoxication. Without taking the name of Nitish Kumar, he said that due to the wrong policy of this state, someone is saying that if we ban liquor, then people will remember us like Rajaram Mohan Roy. If we implement dowry system in Bihar then people will know us as Rajaram Mohan Roy.

The RJD leader further said, “Can someone tell me whether a girl gets married without dowry in Bihar? Dowry system law is applicable here. Similarly, there is a situation of drug prohibition too. Be it Ane Marg (Chief Minister’s residence) or all the residential areas around it, there is a delivery point near Raj Bhavan, this is a very long matter, we do not want to explain it layer by layer like an onion.”

If Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is still in power, one of the main reasons is the prohibition law implemented in Bihar. Now a big statement has come from BJP. This statement may increase the tension of Nitish Kumar.

Demand raised from Kushwaha’s party increased politics

Recently, an MLA from Upendra Kushwaha’s party (Rashtriya Lok Morcha) had said in the House that the prohibition law should be reviewed again. After this, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi also supported it. He said that small and poor people are captured, big people or smugglers are released. In this way, politics is going on in Bihar regarding the prohibition law. On the other hand, JDU has made it clear that whatever relaxation they want in the prohibition law, nothing like this can happen.

Now it has to be seen what JDU and other leaders of the ruling party say on this after Vinay Bihari’s statement. The opposition has already been saying that the prohibition law has no effect in Bihar. A Congress MLA has even said that liquor will be delivered to the Assembly. Door-to-door delivery is being done.
