It is possible that cannabis can also increase the risk of cancer. This is because the smoke of cannabis has many cancer -causing elements like tobacco smoke. At the same time, those who drink cannabis… they inhale more smoke in every puff and hold it in their lungs for a long time than those who smoke tobacco cigarettes. In such a situation, using cannabis for long time can increase the risk of cancer, special lungs, heads and good cancer.

This thing came out in a new study

The new study has put up many such shocking facts. For a long time, the consumption of cannabis can increase the risk of oral cancer. This risk is so that it is compressed with the risk of regular cigarettes. Researchers at the University of California, San Diego have found that individuals with cannabis use disorder have a lot of positivity to have oral cancer.

Research done on so many patients

Health reports of more than 45,000 patients were examined by researchers at the University of California. It was found that individuals suffering from CUD within five years have more than those who do not consume cannabis. Researchers said that cannabis smoke consists of many carcinogenic compounds found in tobacco smoke, whose epithelial tissue contains harmful effects.

Hidden harmful chemicals

Our mouth is made up of sensitive tissue, blood vessels and mucus, which can react badly when long -term hot smokes, toxic compounds or anything that comes into exposure, which irritates the mouth lining. When you drink cannabis, you bring your mouth to the exposure to the same harmful chemicals, which are also found in tobacco, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, voltyl organic compounds etc. These are the same toxic elements that damage the cells and promote the development of cancer.

What is the difference between cannabis and cigarettes?

Tobacco has been considered to be the cause of oral cancer for a long time. This study shows that cannabis is not as much better, especially if you are its regular user. Actually, those who used to drink cannabis at least once in the week for five or more years, the risk of pre-cancerous mouth wounds was very high in them. This study is just a reminder that cannabis is legal and is also beneficial for many people, but it is not untouched by the rules of biology.

Kabul water crisis: Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, can become the first such modern capital in the world, where the water can be completely eliminated by 2030. This warning is given in a report by Mercy Corps. The report said that due to climate change, excess exploitation, random urbanization and government negligence, this crisis has become deeper.

Excessive water harness
The more groundwater extracts every year, it is 44 million cubic meters more than its natural reproduction. This is the reason that about half of the city’s borewells have already dried up. Experts say that if this situation does not change, ground water can be completely eliminated by 2030.

Population growth became a big reason
Three decades ago, Kabul’s population was less than 20 lakhs. But after 2001, it has increased a huge increase. As the population increased, the demand for water also increased, while the city is almost completely dependent on ground water. But this ground water is ending rapidly.

Not just water crisis, health crisis also
More than 80% of Kabul’s groundwater supply is polluted. People are constantly getting diseases like diarrhea, vomiting by drinking this water. A government employee from Timani district said that his family often becomes ill after drinking water in the restaurant or brushing at home.

Essential things have to be left for water
Many families have to leave food and drink to buy pure water or to dig up expensive borewells. And those who cannot afford this expense, either bring water from mosques or depend on tankers.

Status for women even more serious
Due to the Taliban rule, women are not allowed to go out alone. In such a situation, it has become even more difficult for women to bring water. A 42 -year -old woman said that ‘We do not have drinking water at all. It is affecting our life badly.

Hindu Kush’s glaciers are not getting water
Earlier the water supply of Kabul was caused by snowfall and snowfall coming from the Hindu Kush mountain, which was filled with groundwater. Now snow falls less there, and its place comes in uncontrollable floods, which do not help in recharging groundwater.

Political instability and help
American aid in Afghanistan stopped after the Taliban returned to power in 2021, including USAID help. Due to this, many important projects related to water and hygiene have stopped. This has made the situation even more serious.

Unicef Warning
Unicef has already warned that if water exploitation and mismanagement continue like this, Kabul will become a groundwater -free city by 2030. This can create not only water crisis, but also health, human and social crisis.

Under the new initiative of the Health Ministry, people are now being made aware of healthy lifestyle in major hospitals of the country. In this episode, now Sugar and Oil Board will also be installed in AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. Its purpose is to inform people how much oil and sugar is in the food they are eating. This will help patients, their families and hospital staff take better decisions about their diet.

How important this step is?

AIIMS professor and media spokesperson Dr. Reema Dada described this decision as a very important and positive step. He said that nowadays the problem of obesity among people is increasing very fast. It is being seen not only among the elders, but also in children. Earlier diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure were only in elders, they are now happening in children. He explained the biggest reason for this to the unhealthy lifestyle, in which people eat more oil and sugar food. In these, fast food causes the most damage. It has a direct effect on the body and increases the risk of serious diseases like obesity, heart disease, diabetes.

New initiative will be held in AIIMS Hospital

Dr. Reema also told that the directors of AIIMS were already in favor of such an initiative. He had said that healthy food should be served in cafeteria and canteen of the hospital. Board related to sugar and oil should be installed there, which will increase awareness among the people. Now this instruction is being fully implemented. Under this initiative, boards will now be installed at AIIMS canteens and places of food, on which it will be clearly written that how many calories, how much oil and how much sugar is being served. With this, every person will be able to become aware of their food and will avoid taking excess oil or sugar.

Another step towards healthy India

In a large and prestigious institution like AIIMS Delhi, such an initiative can become an example for the whole country. This effort of the Ministry of Health will inspire not only patients, but also common people to adopt healthy lifestyle. This initiative shows that now after getting sick, prevention is being paid to prevention before the disease.

In the modern round, lifestyle has changed over the extent. In many places, the situation is such that people are forced to live alone, but this loneliness is now snatching people’s breath. It has been revealed in the WHO’s recent report from Lonelyness to Social Connection, which states that 100 people are dying every hour due to loneliness. How dangerous it is and what is it, let’s know how to avoid it?

What makes the difference with loneliness?

According to the WHO report, loneliness not only affects the mental health, but it also affects physical health badly. This increases the risk of heart disease, diabetes, stroke and untimely death. According to the new research, this problem has become more serious after the Kovid-19 epidemic. Youth and people living in cities are getting more vulnerable to it.

How dangerous is loneliness?

According to the published research in the Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care, Mental Health Problems in India have increased very fast during the corona epidemic. This figure is more worrying in urban areas, where 22% of people are experiencing loneliness. According to the report, 40% of the youth in the age group of 16-24 feel lonely, which is much higher than the 29% of the elderly aged 65-74 years. Apart from this, the Economic Survey 2024-25 also mentions that Mental health problems, including loneliness, can cause India $ 1.03 trillion economic loss between 2012-2030.

The constantly increasing threat to loneliness in India

The state of loneliness in India is also worrying. According to the report, 10.1% of people in the country are struggling with loneliness, and this percentage is very high in urban areas. Research has revealed that the increasing social distance after Kovid-19 and digital connections has increased loneliness. Experts believe that this problem is taking a serious form due to families being small, urbanization and busy lifestyle. In metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, the problems of tension and loneliness among youth have increased.

What is the effect on health?

According to the WHO, loneliness increases the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and stroke. Also, its connection is told by diseases like memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s. It has a lot of effect on mental health, due to which the risk of depression, anxiety and suicide increases significantly. People struggling with loneliness become weak at both physical and mental levels.

What do doctors give advice?

Dr. Sanjay Rai of Delhi AIIMS says that regular physical activities and social connections are very important to reduce loneliness. Taking a walk in the park or meeting friends can be beneficial for health. At the same time, youth should reduce screen time and should be included in offline activities. Elderly and weak immunity people need to take special care.

Aids epidemic: International funding cuts for HIV prevention and treatment programs can create a serious crisis. According to a study published on Thursday (March 27), the cut in international funding for HIV prevention and treatment programs can lead to over 10 million infections and about three million deaths by 2030. This has been said in the study published in Lancet HIV Journal.

A study conducted by researchers at Burnett Institute, Australia, has analyzed the impact of an estimated 24 percent reduction in global HIV funding by 2026. The study has come to light after the announcement of 8 to 70 percent of the assistance cut by major donors including the US, Britain, France, Germany and Netherlands. These five countries fund more than 90 percent of global HIV aid.

HIV funding cuts and danger of millions of new infections and deaths

According to the researchers, if the proposed funding cuts by the top five donor countries including the US and Britain are not reduced, then between 2025 and 2030, there may be additional new HIV infections and 770,000 to 2.9 million deaths between 2025 and 2030.

The US, which contributed the most in the world in HIV funding, stopped all assistance on 20 January after the swearing in of the new US President Donald Trump. According to the study, due to the disadvantage of the President’s Emergency Plan (Pepfar) for AIDS relief and the rest of the funding cuts, the progress towards eliminating HIV/AIDS by 2030 can be disrupted.

America’s funding cuts in HIV prevention

Dr. Debra Ten Brink, co-study writer at Burnette Institute, said that the US has made the biggest contribution to the global efforts of HIV treatment and prevention, but the current cuts are hindering access to essential services such as antiretroviral therapy, HIV testing and prevention.

The findings of the study showed that sub-Sahara Africa and marginalized groups such as people injecting drugs, sex workers and men having sex with men, as well as children would be the most affected.

Funding is necessary to prevent HIV crisis

The institute’s co-writer Dr. Rowan Martin-Hughes said that there will also be a cut in widespread prevention efforts in sub-Sahara Africa, including offering drugs like condom distribution and pre-exposure Profilaxis (Prep). At the same time, Dr. Brink said that ‘it is very important to ensure permanent financing and avoid re -emergence of HIV epidemic or else its disastrous results can be seen all over the world.
