Agnimitra Paul, Minister in the West Bengal Government, participated in the Bengali Culture Festival organized at Rabindra Bhawan in Asansol on Sunday. During this, he graced the program by presenting Rabindra Sangeet from the stage. A large number of local people and art lovers participated in the cultural event.

West Bengal government minister Agnimitra Paul, while talking to journalists, launched a scathing attack on Trinamool Congress (TMC) over the recent attacks on TMC MPs Abhishek Banerjee and Kalyan Banerjee. He claimed that the allegations of BJP being behind these incidents have proved to be baseless.

Agnimitra Paul said, ‘Abhishek Banerjee had earlier held BJP responsible for these attacks, but after the arrests it has come to light that the accused people are close to former TMC MLA Lovely Maitra and workers associated with TMC. This is the result of increasing public anger.

He alleged that TMC has been following the politics of ‘Tola Baji’, syndicate and ‘cut-money’ for a long time. According to him, instead of serving the public, the party has focused on other activities, due to which the development of West Bengal has been affected.

The minister also targeted former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said that the state government interferes in almost every matter. He said, ‘If any public representative feels that he has not done any wrong and has not cheated the public, then he should have no hesitation in approaching the court. The judiciary must be trusted.

Agnimitra Paul also raised questions about Abhishek Banerjee’s health and hospitalization. He said that the final decision regarding the health condition of a person lies with the doctors. He commented that if doctors do not find any serious problem and general treatment is sufficient then there should be no need for hospitalization merely for political reasons.

He said, ‘Doctors’ opinion is paramount in health related matters. Neither the government nor any political party can influence medical decisions. Politics should be kept away from sensitive topics like health.

Congress MP Tariq Anwar has strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party BJP. He said that the Prime Minister had earlier insulted Sonia Gandhi as ‘Jersey Cow’. Anwar also claimed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was not present at the stage on which the PM was abused.

Tariq Anwar also emphasized the need to show the mirror to BJP and RSS leaders. He said, “As you say, expect the same response.” The MP also targeted the BJP government and alleged that this government has come to power due to theft. The Congress MP said that in the democratic country, leaders should speak responsibly and take care of the respect of others. He said that the people of the country are watching such disputes carefully and leaders should understand that their language and behavior directly affect the public.

What did PM Modi say about the controversial statement on his mother?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a tough stand on the use of derogatory words towards his mother during the Congress-RJD’s voter rights rally held in Darbhanga, Bihar. He said that such a situation could not be imagined in a state with a rich cultural tradition like Bihar, where the honor of the mother was hurt. PM Modi called it not only a personal insult but an attack on the honor of the mothers, sisters and daughters of the entire country.

The PM said, “Mother is the identity of our world and our culture. Whatever happened in Bihar, she not only hurt my heart, but also shook the heart of every citizen, every mother and daughter of Bihar. This insult is not only of my mother, but is an insult to every woman in India.” He expressed emotional connection in his message towards the people and said that this sorrow is equal in the hearts of him and the people of Bihar.

The controversy erupted when the Congress and RJD activists led by local Congress leaders Naushad used derogatory words against PM Modi and waved the party flags. However, the Congress has distanced itself from the vulgar language used in this incident and video.
