‘Metro Monday’ campaign started in Delhi on Monday. On the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta herself gave a big message to the people by using public transport. Traveled in metro from Kashmiri Gate to ITO

After the meeting was over, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reached Kashmiri Gate Metro Station and from there traveled by Metro to ITO Metro Station. During this time, many passengers expressed happiness to see him among them. The Chief Minister also interacted with the people and explained the benefits of public transport.

After reaching ITO station, the Chief Minister used the feeder bus to reach his office in Delhi Secretariat. During this time, Delhi government ministers Pravesh Verma and Ravindra Indraj were also present with him. The government says that if ministers and officials themselves use public transport, it will send a positive message to the common people too.

Part of ‘My India, My Contribution’ campaign

According to the Delhi government, the ‘Metro Monday’ initiative has been started under the ‘Mera Bharat, Mera Shravana’ campaign. Its objective is to make people aware about environmental protection, fuel saving and reducing traffic.
