Security forces have arrested an associate of a terrorist and recovered weapons and explosive material from him during a joint operation in Rajpora area of ​​Pulwama district of South Kashmir. A case has been registered against the accused.

According to police, based on intelligence, a joint team of police, Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF’s 183rd battalion conducted a cordon and search operation in Kasbayar locality near Nath Road in Rajpora area of ​​Pulwama. During this operation, a suspect named Mohammad Umar Malik, who is a resident of Kachipora, was detained.

Case registered under UAPA sections and investigation underway

Officials said that a pistol, a magazine, live cartridges and two hand grenades were recovered from him. According to officials, a case has been registered at Rajpora police station under FIR number 75/2026 under relevant sections of the Arms Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and further investigation is underway.

Secret terrorist hideouts busted in Kishtwar

According to officials, this action was taken during the search operation in Chatru area of ​​Kishtwar.
