During investigation, Umar’s mother told that she already knew that her son had indulged in radical ideas. There was no contact with him for many days. Shortly before the blast, Omar had asked his family not to call him. However, the police was not informed about these suspicious activities of Umar by the family earlier.

Umar was a resident of Pulwama

The name of Umar, a resident of Pulwama, had come up in the investigation in the Delhi blasts. Investigating agencies also confirmed that Umar also died in the blast. Umar, a doctor by profession, was associated with a module of Jaish-e-Mohammed. Even before the blast, the police had arrested several members of Omar’s gang, from whose possession 2900 kg of explosives were recovered.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will now investigate the blast that took place near Red Fort in Delhi. The Home Ministry had handed over this case to the NIA on Tuesday (November 11, 2025). The car used in the blast was purchased from Royal Car Zone located in Sector 32, Faridabad. ABP News investigation revealed that car seller Amit Patel’s phone was switched off after the incident. A new CCTV footage related to the car has also surfaced, in which Umar is seen getting the pollution certificate of the car made. This video is said to be from 29th October.

On November 10, the car entered Delhi at 8:04 am, refueled at Okhla, and entered the Red Fort parking lot in the afternoon. At 6:45 pm it came out of the parking lot, took a U-turn near Old Delhi Railway Station and at 6:52 pm there was an explosion at the signal near Red Fort metro station. It is being told that there were three people in the car and all of them died instantly.

The blast seems to be linked to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) module, which was recently caught in Jammu-Kashmir and Haryana. About 2999 kg of explosives, AK-47 and other weapons were found in the raids related to this module.

So far, action has been taken against 6 doctors in the investigation.
