As soon as you enter this HUID in BIS Care App, you will know from which hallmarking center the jewelery is certified, what metal it is made of and what is its purity.

If the information given in the app does not match your jewellery, then understand that it could be fake jewellery. Regarding this, the Bureau of Indian Standards advises to buy only hallmarked gold, because hallmarking ensures that the gold is as per the standards of the Bureau of Indian Standards and it guarantees the buyers the purity of the metal they purchase.
