He took a dig at Denmark by saying that Denmark has always treated Greenland like a colony and has treated the people there very strictly or cruelly. Trump talked about framework regarding Greenland

This comment has come at a time when Trump has reiterated his desire to buy Greenland at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Trump had earlier threatened to impose tariffs or use force, but now he has said that he will not use force and will not impose tariffs on Europe. He has talked about agreeing on a ‘framework’. Denmark had opposed Trump’s threats and said that Greenland was not going to be sold.
