Its impact on India may be greater because India imports about 47 percent of its gas requirement from Qatar. Every year India imports about 27 million tonnes of LNG, of which 12 to 13 million tonnes comes from Qatar. Apart from this, about 24 percent gas comes from UAE and about 11 percent gas comes from America.
