India has successfully completed the first flight test of the integrated air defense weapon system (IADWS) from the Odisha coast. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated those who develop IADWS for flight tests, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Armed Forces. The indigenous air defense system was tested from Odisha coast at 12:30 pm on Saturday.

The multi -level air defense system is IADWS

The new air defense system has been flown tested three and a half months after the operation operation. The IADWS is a multi -level air defense system consisting of all indigenous missiles with a quick reaction surface, a very short distance air defense system (VSHords) missiles and high -power laser -based laser -based energy weapons (Dew) systems.

Rajnath Singh said on social media, ‘I congratulate DRDO, Indian Armed Forces and Industry for successfully developing IADWS. This unique flight test has established our country’s multi -level air defense capacity and it will strengthen the defense system against the enemy’s hazards.

What is special in Sudarshan Chakra?

The advanced missile defense system ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ being developed by India is very special due to its technical abilities. This system will be able to destroy the enemy missiles in the range of up to 2500 km and will be able to intercept any missile in the air up to a height of 150 km. It uses modern technology like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Laser-Guided System, which gives it the ability to target a very accurate target.

Missile will be fired at a speed of 5km/second

The Sudarshan Chakra can feat the missile at a speed of 5 kilometers per second and its composition is based on a ground-based and space-based hybrid system, including both satellite and radar networks. Its goal is to neutralize the enemy’s ballistic missile, cruise missile and hypersonic weapons. The government has targeted to be completely deployed by 2026 and its estimated cost is said to be around Rs 50,000 crore.

Agni-5 testing was also successful

India has successfully tested its state-of-the-art ballistic missile ‘Agni-5’ this week. This achievement is considered to be a big success in the field of missile technology of the country. The test was conducted from Odisha’s Integrated Test Range, Chandipur. According to the Ministry of Defense, during this time the missile successfully met all the operational and technical standards. After this achievement, there has been a significant increase in India’s strategic capacity and defense power.

India S-400: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has started to further strengthen its air defense structure after Pakistan’s recent tried to target India’s state-of-the-art S-400 Triumph Air Defense System. Pakistan used the CM-400AKG supersonic missile from China in this attack, but India’s multi-level air defense system successfully neutralized the danger. Now IAF is planning to add another security layer around the S-400 system to thwart any such attempt in the future, in which truck-based variant short range or quick reaction surface-to-air missile system can be deployed.

S-400: India’s ‘Sudarshan Chakra’
S-400 was very much discussed while responding to Pakistan. The S-400 is also called the “Sudarshan Chakra” of India. It is a long distance surface -to -air system, capable of penetrating air goals up to 400 kilometers. It can also destroy dangers like fighter aircraft, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles. Pakistan had tried to target the system with the JF-17 Thunder Fighter Jet, which was successfully failed by India’s air defense system. Security will increase with VL-SRSAM and Qrsam
IAF is now planning to acquire a quick response missile systems like VL-SRSAM or Qrsam for the security of S-400. The VL-SRSAM system developed by DRDO is capable of penetrating goals such as fighter aircraft, drones and C-scimming missiles up to 80 km. It has 360 degrees cover and active radar homeing technology.

QRSAM specialty
Its range is 25–30 km and it is equipped with advanced AESA radar. It can immediately react against low -altitude, high speed goals. Both systems are network-focused and can be connected to the existing air defense network of IAF, which will ensure security from all sides of the S-400.

IAF’s multi-level air safety strategy
The multi-level defense system of the Indian Air Force includes indigenous systems like Akash, Barak-8, and Project Kusha, besides S-400. In the recent clashes, these systems together thwarted the enemy missile. S -400 radar systems – 91n6e ‘Big Bird’ and 92N6E ‘Grave Stone’ tracked and destroyed the target in time.

Preparation for self -reliant India and future
Both VL-SRSAM and Qrsam have been developed by DRDO, which will reduce India’s dependence on foreign weapons and increase self-sufficiency. The integration of these systems with the S-400 reflects the alert and active defense approach of the Indian Air Force, which is constantly upgrading its preparations in response to the growing strategic challenges of Pakistan and China.
