This historic event took place at the 132nd National Dussehra fair on 2 October in Kota city of Rajasthan. In the presence of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, effigies of Kumbhakarna and Meghnath were also burnt along with Ravana. Earlier, Delhi had a record of 210 feet high in 2024 in Delhi.

The 132nd National Dussehra fair was inaugurated jointly by Chief Minister Sharma and Om Birla. On this occasion, the former royal family head of Kota, Ijyaraj Singh led the procession of Lord Lakshminarayan and Ravana was burnt with the arrow left by him. Thousands of people were present in the Dussehra ground to see the huge effigy.

Preparation of effigies and contribution of artisans

Ambala artisan Tejendra Chauhan and his 25 -member team gave four months to make these effigies. According to PTI, besides 233 feet high Ravana, effigies of 60-60 feet high Kumbhakarna and Meghnath were prepared. Special care was taken of structure, design and safety in making such a huge size effigy. This unique effort is not only a symbol of art and hard work, but also presents a lively glimpse of the Indian folk tradition.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma in his address greeted Vijayadashami and said that this festival is a symbol of the victory of justice over injustice. He described Kota Dussehra as a confluence of cultural heritage and religious beliefs. At the same time, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that Ramlila and Ravana Dahan give us the message of walking at the end and truth of ego. He prayed that the country proceeded further on the path of progress and the event became a source of inspiration all over India.

A very sad news has come out from Kota district of Rajasthan. Prakash Swamy, posted as a senior assistant in the collectorate, committed suicide by hanging himself in his room. The suicide note found from his house is proof that he has put the responsibility of his death on his girlfriend and his family.

Girlfriend and family responsible for suicide note

The deceased Prakash Swamy has written in the suicide note that his girlfriend Mamta Swamy (GST Inspector) and his family cheated him. He wrote-“I kept wandering in the trap of love and wandering throughout my life. I helped Mamta get a job, took care of all the needs from her studies and expenses, but she used me and left. Now I have no purpose to live.”

In the suicide note, he also took the name of GST Inspector Vishnu Sharma and said that everyone used him like a cup of tea and threw him at the end of work. In the end, he expressed his pain by writing ‘Good bye Everyone’.

5 years relationship and then cheated

Yogendra Sen, friend of the deceased, told that Prakash Swami was in a relationship with Mamta Swamy for about 5-6 years. He always took care of Mamta’s studies and personal needs.

In the year 2023, Mamta became GST Inspector and Gujarat was posting. After having a relationship with someone else there, he made distance from light.

However, on September 14, the conversation between the two started again and Mamta came to meet Prakash in Kota. But when Prakash talked about marriage, Mamta refused. He was deeply hurt by this and gradually went into depression.

Vinod Kumar, an officer of police station Nayapura, said that Prakash lived in Civil Line Quarter Number 159 with his younger siblings Gopal and Pooja Swamy. At the time of the incident, the siblings went to take the exam, and Prakash hanged due to being alone at home.

As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took the body in possession and sent it for postmortem. The suicide note has also been recovered. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

Got government job in the year 2020

Prakash Swami was originally from Dhani Gogri village in Alwar district. He studied in Kota and worked hard in the factory and got a government job. In the year 2020, he was posted as a senior assistant in the Kota Collectorate. Family members say that he should always be the support of the family.

The family of the deceased said that Prakash was the support of the family, which was taken away by deception. They want strict action against the culprits. The family has filed a police complaint against Mamta Swamy and her new lover.
