India-france deal: To further increase the strength of the Navy, the Modi government has approved a proposal of Rs 64,000 crore to buy 26 Rafael-Merin fighter jets from France. These fighter jets will operate from India’s first domestic aircraft career INS Vikrant. It was commissioned in September 2022.

The deal, approved by the Cabinet Committee on Security Affairs (CCS) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, includes 22 single seater career-competent Rafale-M Jet and four twin-seater trainer variants. The delivery will start three and a half years after the signing of this deal and is expected to be completed by 2031.

Why is this deal important?

The Rafale-M 4.5 generation Rafael is the Navy variant of the fighter aircraft and has been developed by the French aerospace firm Dassault Aviation. It has already proved its fighter capacity, it is capable of carrying a variety of weapons including nuclear-capable missiles. The Indian Air Force (IAF) is already operating two squadrons of Rafale Jet. In 2016, 36 aircraft were purchased for Rs 59,000 crore.

Rafael-M surpassed its anti-Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet after extensive tests conducted by the Indian Navy. These also included important ski-jump tests, which takes a small flight from the Indian aircraft carrier using Stobar (Short Tech-Off Butt Arrest Recovery) system. Rafael-M performed extraordinary. Its compatibility with the current Rafale fleet of the Indian Air Force made it even better.

Writing for the Eurasian Times, Group Captain MJ Augustine Vinod (retired) said, “The Indian Air Force and the Rafale aircraft of the Rafale aircraft will reduce the logistics burden in the logistics, which will be possible to deploy cross-service in emergency situations.”

This deal is not just to buy new jets but with removing its shortcomings. The current fleet of the Navy’s MiG-29K aircraft has caused problems due to reliability, continuous maintenance demand and limited availability. These aircraft are posted on INS Vikramaditya.

How to become invincible combination

India’s indigenous aircraft career INS Vikrant and Rafael Marines are together, then India can deal with any danger in the whole of South Asia without being away from its place. The way China has tried to surround India in the Indian Ocean for the last several years, this power will also prove to be effective in dealing with it. India will also be able to monitor China’s activities and the grip will be strong.

On the other hand, Pakistan has very little career operational power. If compared to Rafael Marine, the neighboring country is far behind, it has no such maritime strength. The ability to monitor the Indian Ocean is also negligible. In such a situation, India can encircle the Pakistani port from Karachi to Gwadar if needed.

Now India will get such strength in the sea from Rafael Marine Jet which was only with select countries. They include countries like France, America and China. After the arrival of these fighter jets, India will not only be able to protect itself, but can also help its friendly countries in crisis.

India france mega deal: The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has approved the mega deal to buy 26 Rafale Marine Fighter Jets from France for the Indian Navy. This deal is worth about Rs 63,000 crore. This deal will be finalized soon.

Under this agreement, the Navy will get 22 single-seater and 4 twin-seater Rafale Marine aircraft, which will be deployed on the aircraft career INS Vikrant. The Ministry of Defense will now complete the agreement with the French government after this decision.

The first delivery of Rafael M Jet can begin by the end of 2029. By 2031, all 26 jets will be found by the Indian Navy. These fighters will be deployed on Indian aircraft ships like Jet INS Vikramaditya and INS Vikrant. These will replace the fighter aircraft of old MiG-29, which are now old.

Rafael M Jet is specially designed to fly and land from aircraft career. This includes strong landing gear, arrests hooks and STOBAR technology (which helps the aircraft to fly from short distance and land quickly). This deal will greatly increase the strength of the Indian Navy.
