Recently, a video of a delivery boy went viral on social media. In which the young man described his daily routine in a short video. In the video the young man told that he worked for 15 hours. Delivered 28 orders and earned only Rs 763 in the whole day. After the video went viral, the issue of the youth was raised by Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha in the House. Now Raghav Chadha has met that young man at his home.

Let us tell you that Raghav Chadha took note of the difficulty of delivery partners during the winter session of Parliament, regarding low salaries, long working hours, and absence of social security for gig and platform workers. He raised this issue publicly and expressed his support for gig workers.

The matter gained momentum because of this

This issue has also gained momentum because gig workers recently staged strikes and protests in many cities. Gig workers went on mass strike on Thursday (25 December 2025) and announced a second strike scheduled for 31 December 2025, before the New Year.

The strike, called by the Indian Federation of App-Based Transport Workers (IFATW), coincides with peak demand at the end of the year, one of the most essential periods for food and grocery delivery. Delivery partners have repeatedly raised concerns about opaque algorithm-based targets, arbitrary penalties, sudden payment changes and lack of an effective grievance redressal mechanism – highlighting the challenges facing India’s fast-growing gig economy.

Raghav Chadha calls viral delivery boy home

After raising the issue in the winter session of Parliament, Raghav Chadha called the young man to his house. Who was able to earn only Rs 763 after working for 15 hours. Raghav called the young man for lunch and had a formal meeting. During this time he talked to him about many things. During this, the delivery partner shared his experience. After this meeting he expressed his gratitude to Raghav Chadha.
