Chennai Super Kings had included Sanju Samson in their squad through trade before the IPL 2026 auction. Sanju’s salary is Rs 18 crore. Chennai Super Kings bought Sarfaraz Khan, Matt Henry, Akeal Hosein, Matthew Short and Zakari Foulkes at their base price in the IPL 2026 auction.

Sarfaraz Khan remained unsold in the first set of IPL 2026 auction, but he was bought by Chennai Super Kings in the second set. After this, CSK bought Rahul Chahar for Rs 5.2 crore, his base price was Rs 1 crore. Rachin Ravindra was also sold in the second bid, he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders.

Sarfaraz Khan’s comeback

Sarfaraz Khan was bought by Chennai Super Kings for his base price (Rs 75 lakh). Sarfaraz has not played in the last 2 IPL editions, he was last part of Delhi Capitals in 2023. KKR bought Rachin Ravindra

New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for his base price. Rachin’s base price was Rs 2 crore, when his name came up, KKR made the first bid.
