Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has accused the government of being anti-farmer regarding the trade deal between America and India. He said that even if a case is filed against me or a privilege motion is brought, it does not matter to him.

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has released a two-minute video in this matter. Rahul has made this video regarding the discussion on the breach of privilege motion by the ruling party. In this he has alleged that PM Modi has betrayed our farmers and our food security.

In the video, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘On February 11, I had said that farmers are the foundation of India. Congress and the whole of India fought for food security. Narendra Modi ji has betrayed our farmers, our food security. By dealing with the US they have sold to cotton farmers, soy farmers, apple farmers and fruit farmers. For years, people from foreign countries have been trying to capture India’s agri-market. Narendra Modi ji has opened doors for them.

The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha said, ‘This is a truth which both he and I know. Why did they do this? Because there is a choke around his neck. Narendra Modi’s reins are in the hands of Donald Trump. Maize, cotton, soybean and fruits are just the beginning, Narendra Modi will open the doors of the entire agri-market for his friends, for people like Adani and Ambani, for external forces.

Rahul Gandhi further said that Narendra Modi has sold the country. Has been sold to farmers. You can file a case against me. Can abuse me. Whatever you want to do, you can do it. Congress furious over US Agriculture Minister’s statement

Referring to the statement by America’s Agriculture Minister Brooke Rollins, Congress targeted the central government. Brook Rollins said, ‘Now the products of American farmers will be sold in the Indian market. This will bring money to rural areas of America. Indian market is very important for American farmers. Trump has benefited America’s farmers with this deal. Congress described his statement as extremely worrying for India.

Congress said, ‘It is clear from the statement of the US Agriculture Minister that the Modi government has made this deal ignoring the interests of Indian farmers. This will cause loss to farmers in India. Now they will have to compete with American farmers in their own country. This is a complete attack on the farmers of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi should answer why he compromised the interests of the farmers of India?
