Online examination has started today for railway NTPC UG level recruitment i.e. from August 7. More than 63 lakh candidates will be included in this examination. There will be a computer based examination for 3445 posts, which will last 19 days. This RRB exam will be conducted in three shifts every day and for every shift, 90 minutes i.e. 1.5 hours will be available. The first shift will be held from 9 to 10.30 am, after which the second shift will be from 12.45 to 2.15. At the same time, the third shift exam will be from 4.30 am to 6 pm in the evening. What posts are being recruited

A total of 3445 undergraduate level recruitment is going to be done through RRB NTPC exam. This includes 2022 posts of commercial cum ticket clerk, 990 posts of Junior Clerk cum Typist, 361 posts of Accounts Clerk cum Typist and 72 posts of Train Clerk.

Salary

According to the Seventh Pay Commission, the pay scale for graduate level posts for 3445 posts in Railways NTPC is from Rs 29,200 to Rs 35,400 per month. Along with the basic salary, it also includes allowances like dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance and travel allowance. Apart from NTPC, other facilities are also available in the railway such as medical facilities, travel tickets on concession etc. NTPC recruitment is done by Railway Recruitment Board. Their salary is according to the 7th salary, which is applicable for central employees.

Salary for 12th pass

RRB NTPC has different salary for different posts. Train clerk gets Rs 19,900 per month, junior clerk cum typist Rs 19,900, account clerk less typist Rs 19,900 and commercial cum ticket clerk gets Rs 21,700 per month salary.

Group C category: Group C recruitment is done by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), which work under the Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB). These Railway Recruitment Board are the main recruitment agencies for zonal railway and production units. In this, applications are made for various posts of Group C through both technical and non-technical examinations.

Group C is included in technical services:

• Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering
• Signal and Communication Department etc.

Non-technical services include:

• Clerk, Assistant Station Master, Ticket Collector etc.

The selected candidates are recommended for the Regional Railways and the temporary appointment is from the headquarters of the Zonal Railway.

Group C consists of these posts: Assistant Station Master, Guard, Clerk, Ticket Collector, Traffic Apprentice, Stenographer etc. These posts are also called subordinate posts.

Group D category: Group D is recruited at the departmental level. It can also be done by the Regional Railway headquarters.

Posts under Group D: Gateman, Helper, Khalasi, Trolleman, Trackman, Hospital Attendant, Pointman, Assistant Pointman, Porter. The posts of Group C and Group D in Indian Railways are non-gazetted.
