If you are also planning to go to Delhi by train in July, then this news is important for you. Indian Railways has decided to increase the fare of trains from 1 July. Especially passengers who travel long distances will have to pay more fare than before. Railways have taken this decision in view of rising fuel prices and railway maintenance expenses. This change is being made for the first time after Kovid.

How expensive the fare will be in sleeper from July 1

According to the new rates of the railway, the railway has increased the fares per 100 kilometers per 100 km. According to information received from Indian Railways, now in non-AC category, passengers will have to pay one penny every kilometer, while this increase in AC class has been fixed at 2 paise per kilometer.

This means that if you cover a distance of 500 km, then you will have to spend an additional 5 rupees in non-AC and about 10 rupees in AC. At the same time, this additional amount can be Rs 20 for AC passengers and Rs 10 for non-AC passengers at a long distance of 1000 km.

How much money will it take to come to Delhi from Bihar?

According to the new rates of railway, the fare of sleeper class has increased to about 1 rupee per 100 kilometers. At the same time, the fare from Bihar to Delhi sleeper class used to cost 480 to 540 rupees. Now if a passenger travels 1000 km from Bihar to Delhi, then he will have to pay about 10 rupees more. According to this, where the ticket used to be 480 to 540 rupees earlier, the same ticket will now be 490 to 550 rupees.

Why did Railways increase ticket rates?

Railways have given many reasons for the increase in ticket rates. Railways said that due to the cost of increasing operations, the price of diesel and the expenses of modern amenities, ticket fare has been increased. Along with this, this step has also been taken due to the cost and better facilities of high -tech trains.

When will the increase in fares apply?

Regarding the new rates, the Railways has clarified that these new rates will be applicable from 1 July 2025. This means that you have to spend extra money on every booking after July 1. However, it will not have any effect on the booking made before July 1.
