Railway Recruitment 2026: There is great news for the youth who are dreaming of a job in Railways. South East Central Railway has issued recruitment notification for 1644 posts of Trade Apprentice for 2026-27. The special thing is that in this recruitment process, candidates will neither have to go through any written examination nor have to give an interview. Candidates will be selected directly on the basis of merit list. This recruitment has been done for different trades of Raipur Division and Wagon Repair Shop. The application process has started and interested candidates will be able to apply online till June 4, 2026. This recruitment of Railways is considered a big opportunity for ITI pass youth.

Recruitment in many trades

South East Central Railway has announced recruitment in many trades including Fighter, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, COPA, Diesel Mechanic, Refrigeration and AC Mechanic, Stenographer Hindi and English. There will be recruitment on a total of 1363 posts in Raipur Division, while 281 posts have been fixed for Wagon Repair Shop Raipur. Maximum vacancies have been created in fighter, electrician and welder trades.

What is the qualification and what is the age limit?

To apply for these posts, the candidate must have passed 10th from a recognized board. Also, there should be at least 50 percent marks in 10th. Apart from this, it is also mandatory for the candidate to have ITI certificate recognized by NCVT or SCVT in the relevant trade. The minimum age of the candidate for recruitment has been fixed at 15 years and maximum at 24 years. Age will be calculated as on 5th May 2026. Reserved category candidates will also be given relaxation in upper age limit as per government rules. SC and ST category will get relaxation of 5 years while OBC category will get 3 years relaxation.

This is how selection will be done without examination

The most special thing about this recruitment is that there is no written examination or interview in it. Candidates will be selected from the merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in 10th and ITI. While making merit, equal weightage will be given to both 10th and ITI, that is, the final merit will be prepared on the basis of average marks of both the examinations. The candidates included in the merit will later be called for document verification and medical test.

• After this login and search SECR Raipur.
• Now click on the application link as per your trade.
• Fill the required information in the application form.
• Now upload 10th class marksheet, ITI certificate, Aadhar card, photo and signature.
• Before submitting the form, check all the information carefully and after submitting the form, take a print out of the application form.

Before the beginning of the new year, Railways has given big relief to the youth preparing for government jobs. Railway Recruitment Board has issued a big update regarding Group D recruitment. For the candidates who have been waiting for this recruitment for a long time, the application date has also come out. This recruitment of Railways has been done to fill 22000 Level One posts across the country, which will give opportunity to lakhs of persons.

Applications will start from January 21

Short notification of Railway Group D recruitment was released on 12 December 2025. Now information about the application process has been given through a new notification. Candidates will be able to apply online from 21 January 2026 to 20 February 2026. The application will be made on the official website of Railways, rrbapply.gov.in.

On which posts will there be recruitment and what will be the qualification?

Under this recruitment, posts will be filled in different departments. The maximum number of posts for Track Maintainer Grade-IV in the Engineering Department is 11000. Apart from this, 5000 posts of Pointsman-B, Assistant TRD in Electronics Department, TL&AC, Operations and Loco Shed related posts are included. A large number of vacancies have also been released in Mechanical and S&T departments. Overall, 22000 posts will be filled under this recruitment process. Whereas for Group D recruitment, it is necessary for the candidate to be 10th pass, apart from this, candidates having National Apprenticeship Certificate from NCVT recognized institute can also apply. Talking about age limit, the minimum age has been fixed at 18 years and maximum 36 years. Apart from this, along with the written examination, physical test will also be taken for this recruitment.

Application Fees and Selection Process

For this recruitment, the application fee for General, OBC and EWS category candidates has been kept at Rs 500. Whereas SC, ST, EBC, women and transgender candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 250. Whereas the selection for recruitment in Group D will be done in four stages. First a computer based test will be taken. After this there will be physical efficiency test, then document verification and finally medical exam.
