Indian Railways is one of the largest and busiest transport services in the country. Every day lakhs of people travel by train. Some for work, some to meet their family, and some to travel. But sometimes some such strange incidents related to trains come to light, which people are surprised to see. Every day, pictures and videos related to train journeys go viral on social media. Sometimes some funny act, sometimes some accident or strange sight.

One such video is going viral on social media these days. Such a scene was seen in this video that everyone was stunned to see it. Usually we see passengers sitting or standing at the gate in the train, but this time the matter was different. In this, a python was seen roaming freely near the train gate. This video was shared by Facebook user @Amit Sharma, and within no time this video became a topic of discussion on the internet.

What was seen in the video?

In the viral video it can be clearly seen that a train is passing through the station. Then a big python is seen walking near the train gate. He looks absolutely calm, as if he too has set out on a journey. Watching the video, it seems as if this incident happened during a real trip and not a scene from a movie.

Many people were surprised after watching the video that how such a big python reached the train and the most important thing is how the passengers and railway employees did not get information about it, this incident also raises questions on the railway security system.

People made funny comments

As soon as this video spread on social media, people started making various types of comments. Some users took it humorously while others expressed concern about security. One user wrote, ask for a ticket also, brother, no one has the right to travel ticketless, another wrote jokingly, it seems even the python wants to travel in an AC coach. Some people said that this is a very dangerous situation and Railways should immediately pay attention to it. Many people also said that if this python had been seen instead of a passenger, the situation could have been quite scary.

The train accident in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh caused great pain to many people during a short journey. The journey turned into a nightmare for the passengers injured in this accident. Passenger Sanjeev Vishwakarma (35), aboard the Gevra Road-Bilaspur MEMU local train, which travels about 90 kilometers, was looking at his phone while some passengers were talking when the train collided with a goods train near Gatora station at around 4 pm. The collision was so terrible that the first coach of the MEMU train was completely damaged and there was chaos in the other coaches.

In this accident on Howrah-Mumbai railway line, 11 people including the motorman (driver of MEMU) died and 14 passengers including the female assistant motorman were injured. Sanjeev Vishwakarma, a resident of Bilha (Bilaspur), returning from his in-laws house in Akaltara, said, “I was sitting in the first bogie, where there were about 16-17 passengers – men, women and children. Suddenly, about 500 meters ahead of Gatora, the train shook violently and collided with something. Then there was darkness in front of me for some time.

He further said, “When I opened my eyes, I found myself trapped under the seat. People were screaming for help. My bogie had climbed onto the coaches of the goods train. There were dead bodies in front of me. Three people including a woman had died. Many bodies were in mutilated condition.

My foot got stuck – Passenger
Raipur resident Mohan Sharma, associated with marketing business, told that he had caught the train from Champa station. He said, “I was going to travel by Link Express to Raipur, but the train was late, so I took this local train. Later I thought that after reaching Bilaspur quickly, I would go to Raipur by another train.” He said, ”I was looking at the mobile, then there was a strong shock and I fell on the floor. When I looked outside, I saw that the first bogie of the goods train was on board. My leg was stuck, the railway staff took it out with great difficulty.” Sharma said, “If the speed of the train had been even a little less, perhaps so many people would not have died.”

Statement of student Mehbish Parveen
Mehbish Parveen (19), a BSc (Mathematics) student at DP Vipra College, Bilaspur, said, “I was also in the first bogie. Just as she was about to reach home, the accident happened. My leg is broken. Can’t forget those screams – everyone was screaming for help.

Ashwini vaishnaw: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed in Parliament on Wednesday (March 26) that several important steps have been taken to improve crowd management at railway stations. These include wide foot-over-bridge, CCTV surveillance and war room arrangements.

Railways have implemented a limited entry control system to control the huge crowd during festivals and fairs. Under this arrangement, holding areas have been created outside the stations, where the passengers are not given entry until the train comes on the platform.

Railways will make permanent holding area at 60 stations

According to the Railway Minister, holding areas were built in Surat, Udhna, Patna and New Delhi during the 2024 festive season. This system was also implemented at nine stations of Prayagraj during Mahakumbh. Based on these experiences, permanent waiting areas will be built at 60 stations across the country.

Now entry to only confirmed tickets at 60 stations

Now complete admission control will be implemented at 60 stations. Only passengers with confirmed reserve tickets will get entry up to the platform, while the waiting list and without ticket passengers will have to stay in the external waiting area. Unauthorized entrances will also be sealed.

More CCTV cameras at stations to increase security

The Railway Minister informed that 12 meters and 6 meters wide FOBs of the new design will be made which will be helpful in crowd management. Also, the number of CCTV cameras will be increased for monitoring all major stations.

War rooms will be built at big stations for mob management

War rooms will be set up at large railway stations where officers of all departments will work coordinated in case of congestion. Walky-talkie, announcement system and digital communication equipment will be installed at all heavy crowded stations.

Railway employees will get new uniform and ID card

New uniform and ID cards will be issued for railway employees so that only authorized people can enter the stations. Station directors will be appointed at major stations who will be given financial rights so that they can take immediate decisions.

Station director right to ticket sales control

Station directors will be empowered to control the sales of tickets according to the station’s capacity and available trains. GRP, local police and civil administration will also be included to ensure security at the stations.

Platform ticket will be available only under special circumstances

Taking a lesson from the recent stampede at New Delhi railway station, railway zonal officers have been empowered to control the sale of platform tickets. However, platform tickets will be issued under certain special circumstances to assist the old, uneducated and women passengers.
