On Wednesday (September 10), Uddhav Thackeray reached his residence Shivtirtha to meet his cousin Raj Thackeray. Uddhav Thackeray was accompanied by his reliable Sanjay Raut and Anil Parab. According to sources, the situation will be clear on the day of Dussehra whether Uddhav and Raj will contest BMC elections together or not. The meeting lasted between Uddhav and Raj Thackeray for about two hours. This meeting took place at a time when Congress leaders met Uddhav Thackeray and asked the situation for coming with Raj Thackeray.

Balasaheb Thackeray always held a large public meeting on Dussehra at Shivaji Park Dadar. Now, when there is a breakdown in Shiv Sena, Eknath Shinde holds this meeting in Azad Maidan and Uddhav Thackeray in Shivaji Park.

Second meeting in two weeks

There is a second meeting between the two brothers in the last two weeks. Uddhav Thackeray went to his brother’s house on the occasion of Ganesh festival last week. On 5 July 2025, after years, the two brothers shared the stage together. From then on, there was speculation that there will be a political alliance between the two. But no announcement has been made yet. On 27 July, Raj Thackeray went to Uddhav Thackeray’s house and congratulated him on his birthday.

They suffered defeat before the alliance between the two brothers. Last month, Uddhav and Raj Thackeray’s party jointly fielded candidates in 21 seats in the election of Best Employees Cooperative Credit Society Limited. But in this election, he had to face defeat in all seats.
