However, many fans raised the question that ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ fame Bhagyashree (57) is 10 years older than Riteish Deshmukh (47). What did Bhagyashree say on becoming mother of Riteish Deshmukh?

He said, ‘When you get a chance to play a character about which you have been hearing stories since childhood, then there is no question of saying no to it. Besides, Jijau was a young mother. The truth is that Santosh Sivan sir himself called me and said that due to camera work I had to look a little older, yet I was looking very young. This is a big compliment for me, because he himself is a master cinematographer.

He also told that he belonged to the Patwardhan royal family of Sangli, Maharashtra and since childhood, he was told stories of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Bhagyashree said, ‘Shivaji Maharaj’s stories were told to us even before Goldilocks or Hansel and Gretel. We children used to build sand forts on the sea shore, whereas we used to build Shivaji’s forts with mud.
