Rajat Patidar is gradually making his place in the list of most successful captains of IPL. Made RCB the champion in IPL 2025 and now again he has taken the Bengaluru team to the finals. Patidar is doing well as a captain in the IPL, on the other hand, individually, he has scored 486 runs in the 2026 season. Still, Patidar says that he is not at all focused on joining Team India.

Speak on selection and captaincy in Team India

On the question of selection in Team India, Rajat Patidar said – My focus is not on getting selected in Team India. Therefore, I am not expecting selection right now.

Rajat Patidar is going to play his second consecutive final as captain in IPL. He was also asked what his thoughts were about getting the captaincy of the Indian T20 team in the future. On this, Patidar said, “I do not imagine getting the captaincy of the T20 team.”

Patidar overtakes Virat

Rajat Patidar has topped the list of most successful captains of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. Among all the players who have captained RCB so far, Patidar has the highest win percentage. Under him, the Bengaluru team has registered 19 wins in 27 matches and Patidar’s win percentage as captain is 70. Whereas Virat Kohli’s winning percentage was 48.56.
