Bollywood industry actor and National Award winner Rajkummar Rao himself has approved NDTV that he is going to play the role of Sourav Ganguly. Rajkummar Rao said that he is very nervous about this role, but along with this, he is also very excited for the new challenge. The Bollywood actor said in an interview to NDTV, ‘I am nervous, this is a big responsibility, but it is going to be a lot of fun’. The actor further said that he is ready to bring Bengali accents on screen.

Sourav Ganguly also stamped

Sourav Ganguly said that ‘Rajkumar Rao has been finalized for this film and I do not think that anyone else can play my character better than him’. Regarding Rajkummar Rao in his biopic, Dada said that ‘I think the person is doing it right … I will help him in every way’.

When will the biopic on Sourav Ganguly be released?

Sourav Ganguly is one of the most successful captains in Indian cricket history. Ganguly has played cricket for Team India from 1992 to 2008. Ganguly told that the shooting of the film can start in January 2026. At the same time, this film can be released in theaters in the month of December 2026.
