The marriage of a daughter of a Muslim family is proposed on April 11 in the Ram Mandir Hall run by Sood Sabha in Shimla. Mohammad Nasir, resident of Idgah Colony, Shimla, is going to get his daughter married in this hall. Hindu Sangharsh Samiti has expressed strong protest regarding this.

Hindu Sangharsh Samiti says that the marriage ceremony of a Muslim family in the temple property is not acceptable. The committee has also submitted a memorandum to the Sood Sabha Shimla regarding this issue. Committee leaders Vijay Sharma and Madan Thakur have warned that if the Nikah takes place in the Ram Mandir hall, a big demonstration will be held. He has warned of taking out a procession of pigs and even shaving them in protest.

Respect all religions – Sood Sabha

At the same time, Sood Sabha Shimla has come out with a different stand on this entire matter. Sood Sabha President Rajeev Sood says that he respects the sentiments of all religions. He told that even before this, marriages of Muslim families had taken place in Ram Mandir Hall and this is not a new thing.

Rajiv Sood also clarified that the Constitution of the country and the rules of the Sood Sabha do not allow anyone to be stopped on the basis of religion. He told that there is already a ban on meat, fish and liquor in this hall and special care is taken of cleanliness. In the last five years, marriages of more than 15 Muslim families have taken place in this hall.
