The trailer of Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ has been released on July 30. The glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor starrer epic drama has got the fans quite excited and it is getting a tremendous response. Meanwhile, the trailer has also created a new suspense. Actually many people are trying to find out who is playing the role of Lord Vishnu in the film.

While it has already been decided that Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of Lord Ram and Parashuram in ‘Ramayana’, a small glimpse of Vishnu in the trailer has sparked a debate among social media users as to who has played this role?

Some viewers believe that it could be actor Saurabh Raj Jain, who is famous for playing the character of Lord Krishna in the TV serial ‘Mahabharat’. Due to his previous experience of playing mythological characters, many fans are seeing similarities between him and the character seen in the trailer of Ramayana.

However, another section of social media users believe that it could be actor Mahesh Babu. Interestingly, Mahesh Babu is currently working on SS Rajamouli’s film ‘Varanasi’. This film is based on Indian mythology and in it, the actor is playing the role of Lord Ram in a scene inspired by Ramayana.

Is Ranbir Kapoor also playing the role of Lord Vishnu?
Interestingly, another possibility has increased the confusion, Ranbir Kapoor has already confirmed that he is playing multiple roles in ‘Ramayana’, including Lord Ram and Parashuram. In an old conversation, the actor had told that both Ram and Parashuram are incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Now fans believe that Ranbir himself can be seen in the role of Lord Vishnu. Although it is not clear from the trailer, fans are now speculating whether Ranbir will also play the role of Vishnu in the film. At present, the makers have not revealed anything regarding this character.

‘Ramayana: Part I’, produced by Namit Malhotra, will release in theaters this Diwali, while its second part will be released in Diwali 2027.
