Let us tell you that Chakumba is a traditional ritual of Manipuri Meitei community. This ceremony is considered an important milestone in the life of the child. During this ritual the child is fed solid food, especially rice, for the first time. This ritual indicates that now the child will start eating normal food along with milk.
