The holiday of 18th February has been given on the occasion of Losar festival. Which is also known as Tibetan New Year. Losar is celebrated with enthusiasm mainly in Ladakh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. For this reason, banking services will not be available in Sikkim on this day.

Banks will remain closed in Sikkim, but customers need not panic. Because digital and online banking services will continue to work normally. You can easily do things like online payment, bill payment, mobile recharge and money transfer through mobile banking, net banking and UPI.

ATM services will also continue, so there will be no problem in cash withdrawal or balance checking.
