Virat Kohli could not score big in the match played on Friday, he was out in the last over of the powerplay after scoring 15 runs in 11 balls. Saqib Hussain, playing his first IPL season, was out. After the match he said that this wicket was like a dream for him. In this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 55 runs.

Saqib Hussain, who hails from Gopalganj, Bihar, was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 30 lakh for IPL 2026, although before this he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2024 but could not debut. This season is Shakib’s debut season, in the very first match of which he made a great start by taking 4 wickets. Now on Friday he made Virat Kohli his victim with a good ball.

What did Saqib say?

After the match, Saqib Hussain said, “The plan was to bowl according to the wicket. Varun bhaiya (Varun Aaron, SRH’s bowling coach) told me to bowl as per my strength. Virat Kohli’s wicket was like a dream for me.”

Kohli and Venkatesh Iyer had made a partnership of 60 runs for the first wicket, out of which 44 runs were of Iyer. Kohli started slowly, but he was set. Shakib bowled the sixth over of the innings, in which he bowled good slow balls. Under pressure, Kohli took a risky shot, tried to hit it over cover but the ball went straight into the hands of Smrana Ravichandran.

SRH will play eliminator match

Sunrisers Hyderabad won, but it was not as big a win as was expected. If Sunrisers had stopped Royal Challengers Bangalore before 160, they would have reached the top-2.
