Royal Challengers Bangalore has bought left arm spinner Satwik Deswal in the IPL 2026 auction for his base price of Rs 30 lakh. According to media reports, recently the Puducherry Native Cricket Players Association has written a letter to the Anti-Corruption Unit of BCCI, accusing Satwik of falsifying documents.

This has further affected the integrity of the eligibility verification process and now “Serious questions arise about the effectiveness of the corrective action taken up to now, if any action has been taken at all.”

According to the report, the email further read, “We request the BCCI ACU to immediately review the complaint and inform us about the action taken on this matter. We believe that it is the responsibility of the ACU to acknowledge the complaints received and inform about the outcome or progress of the investigation.’ We will wait for your reply by the end of this week. In the absence of any response or clarification from BCCE ACU, we will be forced to pursue this issue for public information through appropriate media channels.”

What is the allegation against Satvik Deswal?

Satwik is an 18 year old left arm spinner bowler. According to the report, it has been said in the complaint that he does not fulfill the eligibility criteria of being a bonafide resident of Puducherry for at least one year.
