Bengaluru stampede case: During the celebration of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) IPL victory, a new revelation has been revealed in the stampede case outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The Karnataka High Court directed the police that no punitive action should be taken against the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) on the basis of an FIR lodged outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium during RCB’s Victory Parade on June 4. However, the court directed the KSCA Management Committee to cooperate in the investigation and not to go out of the jurisdiction of the court without permission.

The KSCA has said that it is illegal to register an FIR, as the police started investigation by registering an unnatural death report (UDR) on the stampede incident. Registering an FIR against KSCA is a serious failure of justice from the police, while the government itself described the stampede as an unexpected accident and unexpected act.

The KSCA petition claimed, “This incident was an accident caused by a sudden crowd and for this, no intention or purpose of the KSCA management committee can be told as the stadium’s gate and the crowd were managed by RCSPL and not by KSCA, who rented the stadium to organize RCB.”

KSCA claimed, “When the order of suspension of police officers clearly reflects the failure of the police department, the police cannot disturb it.”

The order said, “They will not go out of the jurisdiction of the court.
