After winning two consecutive matches, RCB also defeated Gujarat Giants and completed a hat-trick of wins. In this match played at DY Patil Sports Academy, Bengaluru team performed better in every department and won the match by 32 runs.

RCB makes a strong comeback after a bad start

RCB had a fast start after winning the toss and coming to bat first. The team showed aggressive style in the first over itself, but after this the Gujarat bowlers made a comeback and took wickets continuously. At one time, RCB had lost four important wickets for just 43 runs, due to which the team seemed under pressure.

Partnership of Radha Yadav and Richa Ghosh

In the middle order, Radha Yadav and Richa Ghosh handled the innings and put pressure on the Gujarat bowlers. The century partnership between the two changed the direction of the match. Richa Ghosh (44 runs off 28 balls) made an important contribution by scoring runs at a fast pace, while Radha Yadav (66 runs off 47 balls) played responsibly and scored a brilliant half-century. Gujarat’s faltering innings while chasing the target

Radha Yadav scored a half century

RCB’s top order flopped, after Grace Harris (17), Smriti Mandhana (5), Dayalan Hemlata (4) and Gautam Naik (9) also got out cheaply. After 4 wickets fell at 43, Radha Yadav and Richa Ghosh not only handled the innings but also thrashed the bowlers. Radha scored 66 runs in 47 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 6 fours. Richa scored 44 runs in 28 balls, in which she hit 2 sixes and as many fours. Batting first, RCB scored 182 runs for 7 wickets.

This is the third consecutive win for Royal Challengers Bangalore in this edition. The team had defeated Mumbai Indians by 3 wickets in the first match of the tournament.
