The final match of IPL 2026 will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 31 May. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans, both have been very strong teams, who will now come face to face to win the trophy. On one hand, RCB won Qualifier 1 and made it to the finals, while in the second qualifier match, Gujarat defeated Rajasthan Royals to secure a place in the finals.

After 10 teams, more than 70 matches and more than two months of struggle, now the time for the final has come. But if it rains in the stadium during the match, what rules will be implemented? If the match does not start on May 31, then who will become the champion?

If there is rain during the final match of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans, efforts will be made to complete the match on May 31 itself. In case of continuous rain, the overs will be cut. If the rain does not stop, additional time of 120 minutes will be added. To get the result of the match, efforts will be made to play at least five overs each in both the innings.

If the match still does not start, then the match will not be held on May 31. In such a situation, the match will be shifted to the reserve day, that is, the match will be held on June 1.

If the match does not take place even on the reserve day

If the match cannot start even on the reserve day i.e. 1st June due to rain, then the match will be declared cancelled. In such a situation, RCB will become champion on the basis of achieving better position in the points table. Bengaluru stood first in the points table and Gujarat Titans stood second.
