Delhi government has taken an important decision which will provide great relief to the general public, businessmen and the working class. ‘Delhi Jan Vishwas Bill’ has been approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. This bill will be presented in the winter session of the Delhi Assembly starting from January 5. The government says that this law will be implemented after it is passed by the Assembly.

Under this bill, 8 categories of small and minor criminal violations related to industry, business, shops, labor and establishments will be removed from the criminal category and converted into civil cases. After the implementation of this new bill, only warning or fine will be imposed instead of punishment in these 8 categories of cases. DM will get more powers

In the new structure, the District Magistrate will be given powers like district officials of other states. This means that now the Nodal officers of Delhi Jal Board, PWD, Social Welfare Department and other important departments will be present in the DM office itself. This will not only improve the coordination, but the public will not have to cut the rounds of different offices.

Changes in districts and names

There is a plan to make the Municipal Corporation (MCD) zone a new district in Delhi. Currently there are 12 zones in Delhi, which will be reorganized as districts. Due to this process, the names and geographical location of some existing districts may change. It is believed that Shahdara district may end, while south and south-east districts can also be brought in a new form. Similarly, changes in the names and boundaries of outer Delhi and north-west district are also likely.

Money and video were transacted
