The Maharashtra government has taken a big step towards control on cancer. The cancer care policy has got the green signal from the Maharashtra Cabinet. Now cancer treatment will be started mainly in 18 hospitals of the state. CM Devendra Fadnavis informed that arrangements will be made in all the districts in this scheme soon for diagnosis and treatment of cancer. It is being said that the purpose of this scheme is to make cancer treatment easier in Maharashtra.

This will be the entire system

According to the information given by the CM office of Maharashtra, ‘Maharashtra Cancer Care, Research and Education Foundation’ (Mahacare Foundation) will be established for this. For which 100 crore rupees will be released in the beginning. Apart from this, 20 percent of the fees received under Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana will also be added in this foundation. For this, funds will be raised at three levels, which will include clinical trials, CRS funds and funds of international institutions. Also, CM will be made its president and deputy CM will be made the vice -president to take care of this institution. Along with this, Health Minister, Medical Education Minister and senior officer will also be included in it.

How will there be three levels?

For this, all types of cancer related treatment will be arranged in 18 hospitals of the state. These hospitals will be divided into three layers L-1, L-2 and L-3. Apart from this, dieotherapy, chemotherapy, surgical, mental base, research, palliative care and medicines will be made available here. Apart from these, graduate and super specialty will also be taught here.

These hospitals included in 3 layers

If we talk about the hospitals included in these three layers, then Tata Memorial Hospital has been kept in L-1 category. The L-2 category includes government medical colleges of Aurangabad, Nagpur, Mumbai (JJ), Kolhapur, Pune, Nashik and Amravati. Apart from this, if you talk about L-3, then Ambajogai, Nanded, Yavatmal, Satara, Baramati, Jalgaon, Ratnagiri and Shirdi have been included.

Cancer cases are increasing in Maharashtra

According to a report released by the Indian Council of Medical Research, Indian Council of Research, cancer cases in Maharashtra are continuously increasing. By 2025, the number of cancer patients in the state will increase by 11 percent as compared to 2020. In such a situation, this decision of the government can prove to be helpful for the people.

Three -tier overall cancer treatment service will be ensured. Special treatment related to cancer will be available in 18 hospitals across the state. For this, Maharashtra Cancer Care, Research and Education Foundation will be established. A fund of Rs 100 crore will be given in the company’s capital.

Maharashtra’s global capacity center policy 2025 approved. Investment and multinational cooperation will be encouraged for progress in the direction of developed India 2047.

Additional power sales tax recovery approved

Approval for additional power sales tax collection on electricity use from industrial, commercial and other category customers. This will provide funds for power supply for solar agricultural pumps under Prime Minister Kusum Khatak-B and other schemes.

Approval of establishment of Mahajiotak Mahamandal

The establishment of Mahajiotak Mahamandal has been approved in the cabinet meeting. Administration will be accelerated by using geophysical technology. The use of this technology will help in strategic planning and decision making in various fields.

Court will be built in Satara

A senior level civil court will be established in the clutches of Satara district. For this, the system of required posts and expenditure has been approved.
