Recently Renault has introduced the third generation Duster in India, which is based on the global model. The SUV has a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Along with this, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting and panoramic sunroof are also available.

How are the features of the car?

The vehicle has dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, 6-way power adjustable driver seat and powered tailgate. For safety, there is also a 360 degree camera and ADAS package with 17 features. Its boot space is 700 litres.

How is the powertrain of Renault Duster?

Three engine options are given in the new Duster. The first is Turbo TCe 160 petrol engine, which gives power of 163 PS and torque of 280 Nm. It comes with a 6-speed DCT gearbox. The second is a 1.8 liter E-Tech 160 Strong hybrid engine, which has a 1.4 kWh battery and 8-speed gearbox. The company claims that it can run up to 80 percent in electric mode in the city. The third is TCe 100 petrol engine, which gives 100 PS power. The ground clearance of the SUV is 212 mm.

Talking about design, the new Duster retains its old boxy style, but modern elements like new headlamps, connected LED tail lamps and strong bumper have been added to it. The company had already started its pre-booking. The SUV will be launched in March and deliveries of the turbo petrol variant are expected to begin from April. Its top-end turbo petrol variant will come in both manual and DCT automatic options. It is expected that the price of 100 bhp turbo petrol manual will be less than Rs 10 lakh.

Renault Duster will be priced lower than its rivals and the starting price is expected to be Rs 9.99 lakh or less. Renault is placing a lot of confidence in the new Duster as it is its most important new car and the starting price will play a big role in its sales success.
