The demand for SUVs is continuously increasing in India and keeping this in mind, car companies are launching different models. In this series, Renault is going to launch its new generation Duster tomorrow i.e. on 17th March. The company had introduced this car some time ago, but now it will be officially launched in the market.

The new Renault Duster will have three engine options, which will include two turbo petrol engines and a strong hybrid engine. However, it is expected that only the prices of the turbo petrol variants will be revealed at the time of launch, while the stronger hybrid version may be launched in the market later during the festive season.

New Duster Powertrain

Talking about the engine options of the car, its base model will come with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which will be available with a manual gearbox. The option of automatic dual-clutch gearbox will also be given in the variants with 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine. This new Duster has been built on a new platform for India, due to which its performance and safety are expected to be better than before.

How will be the features of the vehicle?

The new Renault Duster will also be quite modern in terms of technology. Many smart connected features will be provided in it. Apart from this, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and many other features can also be seen in the car. The length of this SUV will be 4343 mm and wheelbase will be 2657 mm, which is expected to provide good space in the cabin. However, compared to the first generation Duster, this time the company can launch it without diesel engine and without all-wheel-drive (AWD) option.

Talking about the price, it is believed that the starting price of the new Renault Duster can be kept less than Rs 10 lakh. Whereas the price of its top variant can be around Rs 20 lakh or more.

Renault has introduced its most-awaited Duster in a new avatar. The prices of this vehicle will be revealed by March and deliveries will start from April. Now the big question is about its price. Regarding Kia Seltos’ rival Duster, it will be interesting to see how the company decides its price. The starting price of Kia Seltos is Rs 10.99 lakh, while the starting price of Duster can be less than Rs 10 lakh.

Renault Duster is expected to be launched at a lower price than its rivals and its 1.0 liter turbo petrol variant will be more affordable. Renault has described the Turbo TCe 100 engine as accessible to the common people and this variant is expected to sell the most.

How much will it cost?

The new Duster will come with three powertrain options, in which the base turbo petrol will produce 100 bhp power and will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Its top-end turbo petrol variant will come in both manual and DCT automatic options. It is expected that the price of 100 bhp turbo petrol manual will be less than Rs 10 lakh.

Renault Duster will be priced lower than its rivals and the starting price is expected to be Rs 9.99 lakh or less. Renault is placing a lot of confidence in the new Duster as it is its most important new car and the starting price will play a big role in its sales success.

Car design and features

Talking about design, the new Duster retains its old boxy style, but modern elements like new headlamps, connected LED tail lamps and strong bumper have been added to it. The company is also giving 7 years warranty.

The cabin of Renault Duster gives a strong and premium feel as before, but now many advanced features have been added to it. Its dashboard matches the boxy exterior. The SUV has a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
