Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba resigned on Sunday (September 07, 2025), when he faced the party’s historic defeat in the parliamentary elections in the country in July. The move behind Ishiba’s move was his constant resignation from within the Liberal Democratic Party, in which he was being asked to give up the responsibility of defeat and leave the post.

Ishiba ignored the demand of opponents
Shigeru Ishiba, who became Prime Minister in October, ignored the demand for the resignation of his party’s right -wing opponents for more than a month. He had said that his withdrawal from his post will create political void in the country. He had raised the issue of rising prices, rice policy reforms and rising tension in the region along with their impact on tariffs and Japanese economy imposed by the US.

LDP leadership decision on election
According to the news agency AP, the decision to step down his post has come a day before the LDP’s decision to hold the leadership election, which had been approved, there would have been a kind of no confidence motion against Ishiba.

Ishiba said to start the vote process for replacement
In a press conference, Shigeru Ishiba said that he will start the election process of his successor for the party leadership. He also said that the decision to be held on Monday will no longer be necessary.

Government shock in parliamentary elections in July
In the important parliamentary election held in July, Ishiba -led ruling alliance could not get a majority in the upper house with 248 seats, which had a serious impact on his government’s stability.

Meeting with former PM Suga and Agriculture Minister Koizumi
According to AP report, Ishiba held a meeting with Agriculture Minister Shinjiro Koizumi and former Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga before Monday’s party voting. It is believed that these leaders had advised to resign.

Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has again applied to receive pension as a former MLA...

Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has again applied to receive pension as a former MLA in the Rajasthan Assembly Secretariat. Secretariat officials have confirmed that the process of application has started and approval will be given soon. One question is in everyone’s mind as to why he finally applied from Rajasthan.

Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar made this application in Rajasthan because he was a Congress MLA from Kishangarh assembly constituency between 1993 and 1998. As MLA, he continued to take pension till 2019, but in the same year he was appointed as the Governor of West Bengal and later became Vice President. The pension was stopped while in constitutional post.

Resignation given due to health reasons

74 -year -old Dhankar resigned as Vice President on 21 July 2025 for health reasons. The family has also clarified that they are not attending any public event right now and are on full rest.

How much pension will be received?

Assembly Secretariat officials said that a person who once MLA in Rajasthan gets a monthly pension of Rs 35,000. At the same time, 20% additional increase is increased if the age of 70 years is done. On this basis, Dhankar will get a pension of about Rs 42,000 per month. This amount will be in addition to other pensiones received as Vice President and former MP.

Political importance and question

This step of Dhankhar remains a matter of discussion in political circles. Questions are arising that the former Vice President of the country should have applied for such a small amount? However, experts believe that this is a completely legal process and has no abnormalities.

Former MLA pension rule

According to the rules of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, any former MLA is entitled to pension even if he has later held a major constitutional post. Since Dhankar was an MLA from Rajasthan, the application was also made there. This decision is only related to legal rights, but in politics it is being seen as many signs.

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday questioned the sudden disappearance and silence of former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. He asked, “Can’t they speak even a word?” Vice Presidential candidate from Rahul Gandhi alliance in Parliament House. Sudarshan was speaking at the event organized for Reddy.

Rahul Gandhi’s Tanj- We are going towards the medieval era!
Rahul Gandhi said in the Lok Sabha, “There is a lot of stir about the new bill of BJP. We are going towards the medieval, when the king used to remove someone from his will. There is no value for a democratically chosen person. If your face is not liked, then the ED is ordered to register a case and do not forget the chosen leader in 30 days. Where did the Vice President go? “

Rahul’s comment- “Why do those who speak in Rajya Sabha silent today?”
Rahul said, “The day the Vice President resigned, Venugopalji called me and told me that the Vice President went away. There is a big story behind his resignation, which some people will know and some will not know.

There has been a fierce debate between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli...

There has been a fierce debate between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli Army (IDF) Chief of Staff, Iyal Jamir, a sharp debate over the complete occupation plan on the Gaza Patti. This debate highlights the serious differences between the military and political leadership of the country, which has raised many questions on the future of the current war.

Differences between Netanyahu-Zamir over Gaza occupation
It is the Netanyahu government plan to completely capture the Gaza Strip, which Army Chief Iyal Jamir considers dangerous. He believes that this will tired the army more and there may be a serious threat to the lives of 50 hostages locked in Hamas.

IDF chief furious over son’s comment
Netanyahu’s son Yar Netanyahu accused the IDF chief of trying to “military coup” on social media. In the meeting on this issue, Jamir expressed displeasure with the Prime Minister and said, “Why are you attacking me in the middle of war?” Netanyahu replied, “Don’t threaten to resign in the media.”

Increasing concern over Gaza occupation
The IDF chief says that Gaza occupies the army tired and will put the life of the hostages at risk. They suggest that Gaza city and other areas be siege and move forward gradually, not the entire strip together.

Netanyahu’s plan and political pressure
Netanyahu is under pressure from his scorching coalition partners who want to capture Gaza for a long time. Under this pressure, he has asked to present the plan to occupy Gaza in the cabinet. He has also asked Jamir to prepare a new plan. Currently, the Israeli army has controlled about 75% of the Gaza Strip. But Netanyahu plans to control the entire Gaza, so that he comes directly under Israel.

War and hostage status
The Gaza War began with Hamas’s attack on Israel on 7 October 2023, killing 1,200 people and 251 was taken hostage. So far Hamas has released 105 citizens. IDF rescued 8 hostages and recovered 49 bodies, three of which were accidentally killed by the Israeli army.

 Controversy before cabinet voting
All this controversy came to light when voting is to be held in the cabinet on Thursday for full occupation of Gaza. Jamir’s resignation is also considered possible if their objections were not taken care of.

Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba is planning to announce his resignation soon, as his alliance has not been able to gather a majority in the upper house of the Parliament due to the defeat in the election. This information was given by the local media on Wednesday (July 23, 2025).

According to the report of the news agency AFP, Ishiba had informed his close people about his intention to leave the post after the announcement of the US-Japan trade agreement on Wednesday.

What did Japanese PM Ishiba say?
According to the report by the news agency Reuters, after the defeat in the elections held on Sunday, Japanese PM Ishiba said that he will continue to hold the post to pursue the tariff agreement and deal with the growing economic problems. However, on Wednesday, when reporters asked him if the tariff agreement with Washington would affect his decision to continue in the post, Ishiba said that I cannot say anything until I review the results of the agreement.

Japanese First Sanseto Party gave a tough fight
According to Japan’s Yamiuri newspaper, Ishiba told his close colleagues on Tuesday evening that he would accept his responsibility of defeat in the election after the business agreement. His departure in less than a year after taking charge will lead to a war of succession within the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, as the party is facing challenges from new political parties, especially right parties.

These include the Japanese First Sanseto Ati Putanti Party, which gained an edge in Sunday’s voting and increased its representation from one to 14 in the 248 -seat high house. The party has made promises to curb immigration, cut tax and provide financial relief to families troubled by rising prices.
