US President Donald Trump said on Saturday (16 August 2025) that he may have to consider putting recipes on the countries in the next two to three weeks, who are buying oil from Russia. However, he ruled out the need to do so at the moment.

Trump said in an interview to Fox News that because of what happened today, I feel that there is no need to think about this (tariff). Maybe I have to think after two or three weeks. This statement came after Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s meeting in Alaska.

Trump has imposed 50% tariff on India

Trump’s comment is directly related to oil trade between India and Russia and possible charges on China. Trump warned last month that secondary sanctions would be imposed on countries trading from Moscow. He had threatened to put 100 percent tariff on Russia and gave him 50 days to end the Ukraine war. India is already facing the impact of these steps. Trump had imposed 25 percent tariffs on India, which was reduced to 50 percent after a few days. Half of these fees have been implemented and the remaining will be applicable on August 27.

Finance Minister warning

US Finance Minister Scott Besant told Bloomberg TV that if things are not good in the trump-Putin meeting held in Alaska, then secondary fees can be increased on India. He also alleged that India is taking a slight stance in business talks with America.

What is India’s attitude on Trump’s tariff?

India has clarified many times that its relations with America are multidimensional and broad and business is just a part of it. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs had said that relations between countries should not be seen “by third party glasses”.

Imf forecast: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned of major losses of two economic superpowers of the world in the future with Trump Tariff. On Tuesday, the IMF said that the global economic pace will continue to be reduced due to the trading crisis between the tariff on the tariff and then Washington and Beijing. The IMF further stated in its forecast that in 2025 the global economy will move at a speed of 2.8 percent, which is 0.5 percent less than the figure released in the World Economic Outlook in January this year.

However, according to the IMF, the economic pace will increase to 3.0 percent in the next year i.e. 2026, which is 0.3 percent less than its earlier forecast. The IMF has included some tariff measures implemented this year in its revised forecast, although not all measures are included in it.

China-America is the most damaged

This report includes things related to all tariffs till April 4, not after that. This means that the trump administration and China’s increased tariffs on each other have not been included in it. The IMF warned that if these new policies are included and considered permanent, then both China and America will suffer a big loss even after 2026 and after that.

Talking to reporters before the publication of the report, IMF Chief Economist Pierre Olivier Gorachhas said that we are entering a new era, as the global economic system that has been going on for the last 80 years is being re -arranged. “

This forecast of the IMF has come amidst the frequent tariffs being imposed on each other by the US and China, which began due to unexpected policy steps from Washington. The tariff rates between the two countries have now reached above 60 percent. That is, a level about which many economists have warned that it will harm bilateral trade badly.

Trump tarifs: US President Donald Trump has agreed to interact with his business rivals China, taking a soft stand on tariffs. He has claimed that talks on tariffs between the two countries have also started. Speaking to reporters at the Oval Office, the US President said that he is confident that the world’s largest economy can compromise to eliminate a big trade war. In such a situation, the question is arising that how the Trump, who has taken a soft stance on Beijing, is now ready for the conversation.

At the time when Trump waged a tariff war, his goal was very clear that China’s dominance should be abolished and the US economy should be strengthened. However, it seems that his tariff attack has fired back as the US dollar is continuously falling. Investors are scared and the capital flow is going down. Investors are also concerned about the impact on the economism that falls in the long run of policy decisions.

Why did Trump bow down?

In such a situation, the famous investor and Author Ruchira Sharma have already said that in the event of the dollar weakening, foreign investors will be attracted towards India. During the conversation, he told a website that a better weapon to pressurize the US President could not become tariff.

Sharma said that this is his possible wrong way to hurt someone’s economy through tariffs. He said that now the weakening American dollar has made his strategy more difficult. Imports have already become expensive due to the dollar fall and American exports are cheap. In such a situation, the declining price of the dollar has further increased the US economy. This means that any kind and stress on the tariff can cause problems and deep.

American economy feared damage

Goldman Sachs also increased this concern further. Investment Bank recently said in its estimate that by next year, US dollars may fall by about 10 percent against major currency such as euros and yen. This decline has many economic factors, such as the US slow GDP speed and the ongoing business tension on tariffs. In such a situation, if the dollar is weak, then it means that America will have to bear the brunt of the most than another country.

Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) said on Tuesday, April 8, that it has received information that the US has threatened to impose 50% additional fees on China. The Ministry strongly opposed this threat, saying, “If the US increases the fee, China will firmly retaliate to protect its rights and interests.”

China said that America’s plan to impose ‘reciperook tariff’ is an attempt to create baseless and unilateral pressure. The Ministry also clarified that whatever steps taken by China are completely legal and justified and its purpose is to protect the interests of its country’s sovereignty, security and development.

 America’s blackmail policy & nbsp;

Ministry spokesperson said, "The US threatening to increase the fee is based on a major wrong step and it again reveals the US policy of blackmail. China will never accept it. If America is adamant on its stubbornness, then China will fight till the last. ‘

China also reiterated that no one is going to win in the trade war and there is no solution to protectionism. China appealed to the US to immediately improve its wrong policies, remove all unilateral fees and stop pressing China’s economy and trade. China also said that both countries should resolve their differences through equal dialogue on the basis of mutual respect. & Nbsp;

 what is the case & nbsp;

US President Donald Trump posted on social media, saying that China has imposed an additional 34 percent fee on the high fee already imposed. Trump accused China of unfair trade practices, such as illegal subsidy and currency manipulation. He warned that if a country imposes new fees on America, it will answer with more high tariffs than before.
