IPL 2026: Even before the excitement of IPL begins, the excitement among the fans is at its peak. Before the mini auction, all 10 teams have finalized the retention of their most expensive players. This time the biggest blast has been made by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), who have made the most expensive deal in IPL history by retaining Rishabh Pant for a record price of Rs 27 crore.

Every season, IPL brings many such decisions which surprise the fans. This is the reason why as soon as the retention list came out, the discussion on social media intensified. Now all eyes are on the mini auction to be held in December, where teams can make big bids to strengthen their squad.

The prices of teams from Lucknow and Punjab were the highest this time. Whereas KKR has expressed confidence in Rinku Singh by retaining him for Rs 13 crore.

The retain list of the SA20, which has become one of the world’s most popular franchise leagues, has surfaced. The SA20 League started in the year 2023, Aadan Markram under his captaincy made Sunrisers Eastern Cape the first 2 season champion but this time he has been released by the Sunrisers team. Many famous players like Cagiso Rabada, Faf du Plessis and Jose Butler have been retained by his team. So let’s take a look at the list of all the players who have retained in the SA20.

Three seasons have been played in the SA20 League so far, in which 2 times Sunrisers EasternCap has won the trophy and once Mi Cape Town has won the title. Sunrisers Eastern Cape, owned by Kavya Maran, is the only team that has played all three finals of SA20 so far. Let us know that the auction of the fourth season is to be held on 9 September. Such were retention rules

Each team had the highest 6 players permission for Ritten Pre-Sign Players. It was mandatory to have 3 South African players and 3 foreign players. The last date to retain the players was 18 July. All teams have also filled the wild-card slots under the strategy. Now 84 slots are vacant, on which the total purse of teams to bid is about Rs 63.9 crore.
