Japan’s football team has suffered a big setback before its opening match in the FIFA World Cup 2026. Japan team captain, Wataru Endo has withdrawn from the tournament due to a leg injury. Along with this, 33-year-old midfielder Wataru Endo has also announced his retirement from international football.

Japan’s national team director Masakuni Yamamoto confirmed the matter. Masakuni Yamamoto said that Endo could not fully recover from his injury and hence will not be a part of the team in the World Cup 2026. Japan is to start the match against Netherlands on June 14 in the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Wataru Endo is one of the most experienced players of the Japan team. Wataru Endo captained the team throughout the World Cup qualifying campaign. Also, Endo’s role in the midfield was very important. He had leg surgery at the end of February. Since then he was continuously trying to achieve fitness. However, despite all efforts, Wataru Endo has failed to be fit to play the match.

Read also – FIFA World Cup 2026: Most goals, number of spectators and the game of Messi-Ronaldo, many big records can be broken this time!

Wataruendo made his comeback in a friendly match played against Iceland on 31 May. Wataru Endo took part in the first half of that match. But even after this, questions remained regarding Endo’s fitness. Even during the World Cup camp, Endo was training separately from other players. It was expected that Wataru Endo would be fit in time. But in the end he had to take the decision to withdraw from the tournament.

The Japan Football Association has included forward Shooto Machino in the team in place of Wataru Endo. On the other hand, centre-back Itakura was made the new captain. Itakura has already captained a match against Colombia in March.

Wataru Endo has also announced his retirement from international football after being ruled out of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Wataru Endo expressed disappointment and said that due to injury he adopted all methods to make a comeback and Wataru Endo does not regret anything. Wataru Ando said that he is sad about not being able to play in the FIFA World Cup. But, at the same time, it is a matter of pride that after the Qatar World Cup, he could contribute as captain to the way the team progressed.

Praising his Japanese team, Endo said, ‘The current Japanese team is very strong and can face any challenge. Wataru Endo said that he is no longer a player. Rather will support the Japan team as a fan.

Wataru Endo has played 73 international matches for Japan. Endo played an important role in helping the Japan team win many memorable victories. The Japanese team present in Group F will now try to give a strong performance under the leadership of the new captain.

Retirement at young age: Imagine that you wake up on a Tuesday morning and realize that you don’t have to go to work. Not because you are sick, nor because you are on vacation, but because your bank account makes enough money to cover your lifestyle forever. This is not a pipe dream reserved only for billionaires. This is the basic idea behind the FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement. To achieve this, you don’t need luck, but you need a specific metric.

This milestone in personal finance is called your Freedom Number. Your Freedom Number is the perfect size of your investment portfolio so that you can live comfortably and never have to trade your time for a paycheck again. It is surprisingly simple to calculate. Let us understand this using simple language and easy mathematics.

Step 1: Track Your Actual Annual Expenses The biggest mistake people make when planning for retirement is focusing on their income. Your Freedom Number is not based on what you earn; It is completely based on what you spend. Look at your last 12 months’ bank statements to calculate your annual expenses. Divide your expenses into two broad categories.

Requirements: Housing, groceries, utility bills, insurance, and health care.

Lifestyle: Eating out, holidays, hobbies and entertainment.

Important Note: When planning for early retirement, remember that some expenses may disappear (like your daily office visit), while others may increase (like private health insurance).

A quick example: Let’s meet Rohan. Rohan is 28 years old and leads a comfortable but conscious life. After tracking his rent, food, weekend trips, and bills he realizes that he spends an average of Rs 50,000 every month.

Annual expenditure = “Rs 50,000 × 12 months” = Rs 6,00,000 per year Rohan requires Rs 6 lakh per year to maintain his current standard of living. This annual spending figure is the cornerstone for its Freedom Number.

Step 2: apply the rule of 25

Once you know your annual expenses, finding your Freedom Number requires a simple mathematical shortcut, called the Rule of 25. This rule says that you need a nest egg exactly 25 times your annual living expenses to retire securely. The math assumes that you will invest this nest egg in a balanced mix of equities (shares) and fixed income assets (bonds or fixed deposits).

Let’s apply the rule of 25 to Rohan’s financial affairs: Freedom Number = Annual Expenditure × 25 Freedom Number = Rs 6,00,000 × 25 = Rs 1,5,00,000 Rohan’s Freedom Number is Rs 1.5 crore. Once his investment portfolio reaches this mark he is theoretically financially free. why 25? Understanding the 4 Percent Rule You may be wondering where the number 25 comes from. This is the mathematical inverse of the 4 percent rule, which is derived from the ‘Trinity Study’, a famous financial research paper.

The study analyzed decades of market history and concluded that if an investor withdraws 4 percent of his portfolio in the first year of retirement and modestly adjusts that amount for inflation every year thereafter, there is an extremely high chance of not running out of money for 30 years or more. Coming back to Rohan’s case: Rohan reaches his freedom number of Rs 1.5 crore. In his first year of independence, he withdraws 4 percent.

4 percent of Rs 1.5 crore = Rs 6,00,000. He completely covers his annual expenses while leaving the remaining 96 percent of his portfolio to grow in the market. Optimizing Your Numbers: Adjusting to Your Lifestyle The Rule of 25 is an excellent baseline, but life is not static. Depending on your personal goals, you may choose a different path into the world of early retirement. Financial planners typically describe three specific paths:

LEAN FIRE: This is for those who are minimalists. If you plan to significantly reduce your luxury spending, downsize your living space, and live frugally, you can use a lower multiplier like 20 times your annual expenses.

STANDARD FIRE: This is the baseline we have calculated for Rohan. Its objective is to fully maintain your current, comfortable standard of living, using a multiplier of 25 times your expenses.

FAT FIRE: This is for those who want a prosperous retirement. If you plan to travel internationally, eat out, and spend generously without a tight budget, you should aim for a safe multiplier of 30 times (or more) your annual spend. If Rohan decides he wants a premium, “Fat FIRE” lifestyle that involves frequent international travel, his actual annual expenses could increase to Rs 10 lakh. Using that safe multiplier of 30, their new goal would be…

New Freedom Number = Rs 10,00,000 × 30 = Rs 3,00,000 Two Factors to Keep in Mind

1. Inflation Factor If you plan to retire in 5 years, the Rule of 25 works beautifully. However, if you’re calculating a Freedom Number that you won’t get for 15 or 20 years, you have to take inflation into account. The groceries that cost Rs 5,000 today will cost much more in two decades. To combat this, review your annual spending each year and adjust your target freedom number upward to match real-world price increases.

2. Debt Elimination The calculations behind the Freedom Number become significantly easier if you enter retirement completely debt-free. Paying off a home loan or car loan significantly reduces your monthly standard of living. A lower standard of living means a lower annual spending figure, which immediately reduces your final Freedom number into the millions. How to start the journey towards your number Looking at a goal like Rs 1.5 crore or Rs 3 crore can seem overwhelming when you are starting out. The key is to avoid focusing solely on the summit of the mountain and instead focus on the next step.

Reduce Friction:

Every Rs 1,000 you permanently deduct from your monthly unnecessary expenses reduces your final Freedom Number by Rs 3,00,000 (due to the 25x multiplier effect). Automate your gap: The difference between your income and your expenses is your investment gap. Automate a systematic investment plan (SIP) to direct this difference directly into diversified low-cost index funds and equity mutual funds every month. Your Freedom Number is not just a mathematical formula; It is a change in approach. This turns money from a tool used to buy status symbols to a tool used to buy back your time. Track your expenses, multiply by 25, and give your hard work a clear, definite finish line.

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has responded to BJP state president Madan Rathore regarding the 75-year formula for retirement from politics. Gehlot hit back and said that he wants to serve Rajasthan for 100 years. If you want to implement the 75 year formula then do it on Narendra Modi and Mohan Bhagwat first. This policy is of his party.

Congress leader Ashok Gehlot gave statements on many issues while talking to the media at Jaipur airport after returning from campaigning for the assembly elections in Kerala. In response to media questions, Gehlot said, “I have already said, this will apply to Narendra Modi or what is his name, our RSS’s Mohan Bhagwat, it will apply to him.”

The former Chief Minister further said, “Gandhiji had said that I want to serve for 125 years and these fundamentalists murdered him. I want to serve the people of the state and the countrymen for 100 years. So retirement cannot be applicable to me. Now I don’t know in what context he has said it, why he has said it. He would know, but because he is told from above that what line do you have to take today, to his ministers, to his leaders, He is the one who takes the line.” Gehlot said who are they to give us advice? He has started doing full Congress politics. How can they tell Congress leaders what they should do and what they should not do?

Gehlot took a dig at Mohan Rathod

Taking a dig at Rathod, Gehlot said, “They are not responding to the issues we have raised with them and are giving evasive answers. These people are being insulted because you at least give an answer, give anything negative, give positive, say anything, but you are talking out of context.” Let us tell you that Madan Rathod had said that Gehlot’s political charisma has now ended. His tenure has completed, now the new generation should be allowed to come forward. Rathore had sarcastically said, ‘Wherever Gehlot went, he has caused loss to the party. Now he has moved to Delhi and I wish him all the best for this.

BJP and RSS are a threat to democracy

Apart from this, regarding the program of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Rajasthan University, Gehlot said that RSS and BJP are organizations with the same ideology and both are a threat to democracy. Commenting on Prime Minister Modi’s statement that “something big is about to happen”, the senior Congress leader said that this statement is similar to the style of US President Donald Trump. Trump often makes such statements and himself calls Modi his friend.

After this, regarding the situation of Congress in Kerala, he said that Congress is in a strong position there and has promised to implement “Right to Health” after coming to power. He expressed confidence that his party will register victory in the upcoming elections. He also said that Congress is fully prepared for the elections to be held in five states and the party is in a strong position in other states including Kerala.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, while speaking openly on the need for generational change in leadership, has said that when a system starts running smoothly, the older generation should step back and hand over the responsibility to the next generation. This statement of Gadkari has come at a time when there is a continuous discussion in the country about bringing youth forward in politics, industry and organizations. He made this comment in the context of Vidarbha-Khasdar Industrial Festival in a press conference held in Nagpur.

Advocacy to bring forward youth leadership
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that gradually there should be generational change in every field. He said in clear words that when the new generation starts assuming responsibility and the system starts running well, then the seniors should step back respectfully. According to Gadkari, this change should not happen under any pressure but as a natural process.

‘Now we should retire’
Gadkari said, ‘Ashish’s father is my friend. Now we should gradually retire and hand over the responsibility to the new generation. When this system starts running smoothly, then we too should retire and do some other work. His statement is being seen as a sign of trust in the youth along with experience.

Youth participation in Advantage Vidarbha initiative
Gadkari praised Ashish Kale, President of AID (Association for Industrial Development), saying that he has actively involved the young generation in the ‘Advantage Vidarbha’ initiative. Describing it as a positive step, Gadkari said that any initiative gets new energy and direction with the participation of youth.

3rd year of Advantage Vidarbha Expo
Chief Guide of AID, Nitin Gadkari said that ‘Advantage Vidarbha Expo’, organized from February 6 to 8 in Nagpur, has entered its third year. This three-day event has become an important platform to present the industrial potential of Vidarbha region before the country.

The aim is to give Vidarbha a strong identity on the industrial map.
Gadkari said that Vidarbha region has capable and innovative entrepreneurs in various fields.
Australia cricket team is currently playing the Ashes series against England at home. Australia has taken a 2-0 lead by winning both the initial tests. Meanwhile, Australian team all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has taken a big decision, he has retired from red-ball cricket at the state level. Now he will not be seen playing in the Sheffield Shield tournament, he used to play for Western Australia.

After Mitchell Marsh’s retirement from red-ball cricket at the state level, questions have been raised about his future in Test cricket. Especially considering the Ashes series, in which he was expected to play but it did not happen.

Mitchell Marsh’s recent performance was not anything special, after which he informed his colleagues about his decision of retirement. Since 2019, Marsh has played only 9 matches at the state level. Although the reason for playing less matches is also his busy schedule, he is the main limited overs player and also plays in many T20 leagues around the world.

Mitchell Marsh made his debut for Western Australia in 2009. He said that now he wants to stay away from red ball cricket. However, he has not retired from Test cricket at the international level.

Mitchell Marsh’s big decision

If reports are to be believed, Mitchell Marsh has said that he is ready to participate in the Ashes series if the selectors call him. However, he also admitted that it is not easy to play another Test in the future. Let us tell you that last month Australia’s Chief Selector George Bailey had said that Marsh’s game can bring new energy to the Ashes. He had said that he is not being tried in the beginning of the series but there may be a change later depending on the situation.

mitchell marsh test career

Mitchell Marsh has played 46 matches in his Test career, in which he scored 2083 runs in 80 innings. In this format he has played 9 half-centuries and 3 century innings. Apart from this, he has played 99 ODI and 81 T20 International matches for Australia, in which he has scored 3098 and 2083 runs respectively.

Justice BR Gavai has now retired after assuming the post of Chief Justice of India (CJI). The new CJI Surya Kant has taken over. On this occasion, Justice Gavai spoke openly about his journey to the Supreme Court. He also responded openly to the speculations about joining politics after retirement. While being the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Gavai has been involved in more than 330 decisions.

After retirement, Justice Gavai gave an interview to India Today. When asked, you had said that you will not take a job after retirement, so are there chances that you can enter politics? On this he said that at the moment I have not thought about it. I’m just at peace right now. I have decided not to do anything right now and believe that you should live as per today.

‘I will not accept any governor’s post’
He said, ‘As far as I feel, I will not accept the post of head of any tribunal. I will not accept any governor’s post. I will not even accept being nominated in Rajya Sabha. I am very clear about this.

CJI Surya Kant heard 17 cases on the first day
On his first day as Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant set a new procedural benchmark on Monday (November 24). He said that for immediate listing the cases should be mentioned in writing. Oral requests will be considered in exceptional circumstances, such as in cases involving the death penalty and personal liberty. The bench led by CJI Surya Kant heard 17 cases for about 2 hours on the very first day.

Let us tell you that earlier, former Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna had stopped the oral practice for immediate listing of cases in the apex court. However, Justice Gavai, who came to this post after Justice Khanna, started it again. Generally, sometimes lawyers mention the cases orally before the Chief Justice, so that they can be listed immediately.

Cricket Retirement: India won by 9 wickets against Australia in Sydney, thanks to Rohit Sharma’s unbeaten 121 and Virat Kohli’s 74 runs. But hitman Rohit Sharma has given a big hint about his retirement. In the meantime, let us know who the players have to inform before retiring and also how far in advance it has to be announced.

Process before announcing retirement

Retirement in Indian cricket is not just a personal decision. This also includes official communication with the governing body. Although there is no fixed period for when to announce retirement, but it is a standard procedure to inform the authorities before announcing retirement. Players can inform the Board of Control for Cricket in India before any formal announcement. In fact, this step ensures that the board, selectors and officials know about the player’s decision before it becomes public. Generally, players inform senior BCCI officials like President, Secretary or Chairman of Selectors. The reason for this is that it helps the board in planning future selections and upcoming tournaments.

Notifying State Cricket Associations

Players representing their state in domestic tournaments like Ranji Trophy also have to inform the state cricket association. This is done so that there is no confusion during team selection and to ensure that the player’s retirement is officially recorded at both the domestic and national level.

How many days in advance is it necessary to inform the board

Actually, there is no fixed rule or time limit for informing the board before retirement. BCCI and International Cricket Council have left it completely to the discretion of the player. Some players announce their retirement immediately after the match or tournament, while some give the board time to prepare for the change smoothly and prefer to give prior notice. If we talk about other countries, the rules of other cricket boards are strict. Sri Lanka Cricket Board has made a rule to give 3 months notice to players before retiring from international cricket. This gives the board time to plan the future team.
