IPL 2026 started about two months ago. The final match is near, which will be played on 31st May in Ahmedabad. 1. Riyan Parag’s vaping scandal

No player or support staff is allowed to smoke during IPL matches. On April 28, a match between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings was played, during which the camera turned towards RR’s dressing room. Rajasthan team captain Riyan Parag was seen vaping/smoking e-cigarette. For this, Parag was fined 25 percent of the match fee and given one demerit point.

2. Angkrish Raghuvanshi run out

Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants came face to face in the 38th match of the tournament. During KKR’s innings, Angkrish Raghuvanshi took a shot and ran for runs. But the batsman at the non-striking end sent him back. When Mohammed Shami threw, the ball hit Raghuvanshi’s feet. The LSG team appealed on this. The third umpire declared Raghuvanshi out, there was a lot of controversy over this decision. Raghuvanshi also kept talking to the umpire on the field for a long time. The reason given for the decision was that Raghuvanshi had changed direction while running back.

3. Jason Holder’s catch

Jason Holder took the catch of Rajat Patidar. Patidar was declared out, but RCB fans did not like this decision. It was claimed that Holder did not have complete control over his body while taking the catch and some part of the ball was touching the grass while completing the catch.

4. Tim David showed middle finger

In the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians, Tim David had pointed his middle finger towards the dug out of Mumbai Indians. This video created a stir on social media. Considering this gesture as obscene and insulting, BCCI fined Tim David 30 percent of the match fee and also gave 2 demerit points.

5. RR manager brought mobile phone in the dugout

No player or staff member is allowed to bring a mobile phone into the dugout. But when Rajasthan Royals manager Romi Bhinder was seen using a mobile phone, there was a lot of uproar over it. That picture went viral when Vaibhav Suryavanshi was peeping into Romi Bhinder’s phone. Team managers are allowed to have phones in the dressing room but not in the dugout.
