In Bihar, the ruling party Mahayuti’s ally Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) is in danger of breaking. There are a total of four MLAs from Upendra Singh Kushwaha’s party in Bihar, out of which there are reports of three MLAs being angry.

Actually, Bajpatti MLA Rameshwar Mahato, Madhubani MLA Madhav Anand and Dinara MLA Alok Kumar Singh are unhappy with Upendra Kushwaha. The reason for this is that during the oath taking ceremony in Bihar, Upendra Kushwaha had made his son Deepak Prakash a minister at the last moment, although he is not a member of any house.

RLM MLA met Nitin Nabin

There is resentment among RLM MLAs due to this. These three MLAs were hoping to become ministers. At the same time, amid discussions of resentment, the three MLAs had recently met BJP National Working President Nitin Nabin. It was also revealed that all three MLAs did not even go to the Litti Banquet program organized by party chief Upendra Kushwaha.

At present, all three MLAs of Upendra Kushwaha are in Delhi. Meanwhile, MLA Rameshwar Mahato has also made a Facebook post, due to which many questions are being raised. The MLA has shared a picture, in which the three MLAs Rameshwar Mahato, Madhav Anand and Alok Singh are seen sitting. The caption reads- ‘We are all united, we are together today and will remain together in future also.’

Rameshwar Mahato has also written, “With the strength of NDA and the determination for the all-round development of Bihar, we are together. Jai NDA.” People’s attention has been drawn to the fact that in this entire post the RLM MLA has mentioned NDA, but not Upendra Kushwaha’s party. In such a situation, speculations are being made that these MLAs are preparing to leave Kushwaha and join BJP.

On Friday (December 26, 2025) Upendra Kushwaha was in Sasaram. Journalists asked him questions about this, to which he replied that there is no question of any kind of disunity in his party. While giving advice to the journalists, he said that you do not have any valid questions which can be answered.

In fact, its three MLAs Rameshwar Kumar Mahato, Madhav Anand and Alok Singh did not attend the party’s Litti-Chokha party organized in Patna two days ago. On this, Upendra Kushwaha replied that this is not an issue to be discussed about. He rejected the question of break in Rashtriya Lok Morcha and said that such questions are being asked unnecessarily.

Today (Friday) he was meeting common people in Sasaram council. During this, he said the above things in response to the questions of journalists. What could be the reason for the breakup in the party?

It is noteworthy that Upendra Kushwaha’s son Deepak Prakash is currently a minister in the government. He is neither an MLC nor an MLA. In such a situation, there is resentment among other MLAs of the party. Now if three of the four MLAs separate, then Kushwaha’s party will be isolated. Even though Kushwaha has called it an unnecessary question, there are many discussions in the political circles.

It has been revealed through RTI on December 2 (2025) that many leaders of Bihar and Central Government are taking both salary and pension simultaneously. There are names of total eight leaders in it. Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha’s name is also there in this. He has given his response on this today (December 09, 2025).

Kushwaha has written in his X post, “Extremely baseless and fact-free news is being published/broadcast in the media about some former members of Bihar Assembly/Legislative Council taking pension. An incomplete information given under the Right to Information has been made the basis of the news.”

‘Only I took salary while in the House’

He said, “My name is also included in the said list. Therefore, I would like to make you aware of the truth about me, which is as follows – From the date of commencement of pension mentioned in the letter till now, no details have been given about who took the pension amount and when till now. I want to tell about myself that from the beginning till now, I have taken pension only during the period when I have not been a member of any House. While being in the House, I have taken salary only from there. The question of taking pension does not arise during that period.”

‘Can’t take salary and pension together’

Upendra Kushwaha further said, “Obviously today I am a member of the Rajya Sabha. Hence, I am taking salary from the Rajya Sabha. I am not taking pension from the Assembly/Legislative Council. The provision is also that you cannot simultaneously take the salary of any House and pension from anyone else. I am also following this rule 100 percent.”

Let us tell you that among the leaders whose names have appeared in RTI, names of Union Minister Satish Chandra Dubey and Bihar Finance Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav are also there. Apart from Upendra Kushwaha, names of Devesh Chandra Thakur, Lalan Kumar Saraf, Nitish Mishra and Sanjay Singh are also there.

Deepak Prakash, son of RLM Chief Upendra Kushwaha, has now become Panchayati Raj Minister in the NDA government. He has also taken charge. RJD had raised the question before Tej Pratap

Before Tej Pratap Yadav, the same question was asked from RJD’s handle on 22nd November. It was written, “Deepak Prakash, who got the security deposit confiscated in Sasaram, became the counting agent of independent candidate Ramayan Paswan and became a minister in the Nitish government without contesting elections. Isn’t it the magic of Modi-Nitish? What kind of development is needed in Bihar now?”

Now understand what is the whole matter

About 22 candidates had contested from Sasaram assembly constituency in the 2025 assembly elections. Ramayan Paswan’s counting agent, who contested as an independent candidate, was Deepak Prakash, son of RLMO supremo Upendra Kushwaha, who is now the Panchayati Raj Minister. Ramayan Paswan got the election symbol Baby Walker. He got 327 votes. The bail was confiscated.

On the other hand, the biggest thing is that Deepak Prakash was sitting as an agent on the RO table to count his 327 votes, about which questions are now being raised. Not only this, his mother Snehlata Kushwaha had also contested elections from this assembly constituency. She has also won. After Deepak became a minister, his ID card issued by RO during the elections is going viral on social media. Now Tej Pratap has also shared this.

Counting agent means that person who remains ready at the counting table on the counting day as a representative of the candidate in the counting hall. Most of the big political parties appoint their own counting agents. The pass is made with the signature of the returning officer. In such a situation, the question is that when Deepak Prakash’s mother Snehlata was contesting elections in Sasaram, then why did he become the agent of an independent candidate named Ramayan Paswan?

Counting of votes is going on for the assembly elections held on 243 seats in Bihar on 6th and 11th November. Counting of votes has started from 8 am on Friday at 46 counting centers of the state and this time 2615 candidates have tried their luck in this election. However, the trends so far have raised the tension of the Grand Alliance to the seventh sky. While NDA is ahead on 161 seats, the wind of Grand Alliance is currently blowing on only 68 seats. Now it is also being said that the allies on whom RJD showed trust could not do anything special.

These allies did not work for RJD?

If we talk about the Grand Alliance in the current trends, then they are leading in just under 70 seats. But in this also RJD has the maximum seats. Congress, VIP, Left, IIP, which are considered to be Tejashwi’s trust in the grand alliance, could not do any special magic. In the latest trends, RJD is leading on 50 seats while Congress is leading on only 12 seats. The condition of other allies is even worse. On VIP 01, the Left is leading on 5 seats. But if we talk about IIP, its account has not even been opened yet.

Nitish’s allies also lagged behind!

Even though NDA alliance is in lead, JDU seems to be the largest party in this election. Although BJP is not far behind JDU but the condition of other allies looks bad. LJP is leading on 14 seats, while HAM is on 3 seats and RLM is still spreading its magic on only 1 seat.

Jansuraj is also in the field

Let us also tell you that 238 candidates of Prashant Kishor’s party Jansuraj are in the electoral fray in Bihar elections. Apart from this, other parties are also in this election, in which Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has 83 candidates, BSP (BSP) has 181 candidates and the number of independent candidates is 926.

Assembly elections are going to be held in Bihar after Chhath. After the announcement of the dates, there is continuous discussion among the parties on the distribution of seats. According to the news being received quoting reliable sources, JDU will play the role of elder brother in NDA. JDU can get 102 seats. BJP will be at second place. Bharatiya Janata Party can contest on 101 seats. On the other hand, BJP leaders are trying to convince Chirag Paswan. It is believed that his party LJP (Ram Vilas) can be given 26 seats. Whereas Manjhi’s party HAM can be given 7 seats and Upendra Kushwaha’s party Rashtriya Lok Morcha can be given 7 seats.

Chirag gets more offers along with this

According to the information received so far, there is a dilemma regarding some seats. It is almost certain that Chirag will not be given less than 25 seats. If Chirag gets 25 seats then BJP can fight on 102. That means JDU and BJP can contest equal number of seats. A leader of Chirag’s party said that a list of 26 seats has been given by them. However, BJP has also offered one MLC and one Rajya Sabha seat to Chirag Paswan.

Let us tell you that on Tuesday (October 07, 2025), senior BJP leaders Dharmendra Pradhan, Vinod Tawde and Mangal Pandey had met Chirag Paswan at his residence in Delhi. It is believed that discussions have been held regarding the screws getting stuck on the seats. On the other hand, there is news that Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha have also agreed on seven seats each. If seen, BJP is trying to completely satisfy its allies in Bihar. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh government minister Omprakash Rajbhar is also claiming from NDA. Now it has to be seen how their adjustment happens or not.
