Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the theft of precious crowns from the Louvre Museum in Paris. News agency AFP quoted sources on Sunday (October 26, 2025) as saying that a suspect was arrested at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport on Saturday (October 25, 2025) at around 10 pm (Indian time, 2:30 am).

According to sources, the suspect was arrested when he was about to board a flight abroad. The second accused was arrested from Paris after some time. The accused entered inside with the help of crane

At the time of opening of the museum, thieves broke the window of the upper floor with the help of a crane and stole eight precious crowns worth about 102 million dollars. After committing the crime, both the accused fled away on a bike.

The video of the incident is also going viral on social media, in which two robbers are seen running away with precious crown jewels. After the robbery, both of them used the hydraulic lift to escape. Paris prosecutors entrusted the investigation into the incident to a team from the BRB police unit, which typically handles high-profile robbery cases.

Special crown of the Queen and Queens of France

The history of these eight stolen crowns is quite old. According to the information, these crowns belonged to the queens and empresses of France.
