According to the information, Manvendra Singh Chauhan, son of Kalu Singh Chauhan, former treasurer of Khatushyamji Shri Shyam Mandir Committee, received a WhatsApp call from a foreign number on Sunday, January 4 at around 4:29 pm. The caller identified himself as Hari Boxer, a member of the Lawrence gang, and demanded extortion money of Rs 3 crore. The person threatening said that if the money was not given he would be shot or bombed.

Immediate police action and security cordon

After receiving the threatening call, Manvendra Singh Chauhan got scared and informed his family about the incident. Later, on the advice of family members, he registered a case at Khatushyamji police station. Taking this whole matter seriously, the police immediately started investigation and have provided security guards to Manvendra Singh so that there is no lapse in his security.

More than 50 people have been interrogated so far, important clues found

Police station officer Pawan Chaubey said that a case has been registered on the complaint of Manvendra Singh. In the preliminary investigation, this call has come to light as a WhatsApp call made from a foreign number. Till now the police have interrogated more than 50 people in Khatushyamji town and surrounding areas. The police is busy identifying the source of the call and possible suspects with the help of technical aspects. According to Chaubey, “The investigation of the case is progressing rapidly and the police have found many important clues. This entire case will be revealed soon.”

This is not the first case of a person receiving threats in Khatushyamji. Earlier, two more people in the same town had received ransom threats. A few months ago, Khatu Cooperative Society President Shyam Sundar Punia had received a threat. After this, the well-known grain trader Puran Mal Harnathka was also given threats and money was demanded through calls and messages. Now the third case has once again raised the question that how are such international calls reaching the religious city of Khatushyamji and what is the real mechanism behind them.

These gangs threaten people through WhatsApp calls, voice calls, social media messages and video calls. According to the police, the main objective of these gangs is to create an atmosphere of fear among the people and to extort money.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested the accused who threatened the famous comedian and actor Kapil Sharma. The accused has been identified as Dilip Chaudhary, who has been caught from 24 Parganas in West Bengal.

According to the police, Dileep had sent a call and video to Kapil Sharma’s close to a ransom of Rs 1 crore. The accused described themselves as gangster Goldie Brar and Rohit Godara gang.
