Rohit sharma awarded ipl 18 token: Ever since the Indian Premier League started, Rohit Sharma has been a part of this historic league. In his entire IPL career, Rohit has played for only 2 teams. Now BCCI President Roger Binny has honored Rohit Sharma for 18 years of historic journey in IPL. Before him, Virat Kohli has been given a similar honor. Roger Binny honored ‘Hitman’ with a token of ‘IPL 18’ at the Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (Mi Vs SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium.

Virat Kohli has also been an integral part of the Indian Premier League since 2008. He was honored with the same ‘IPL 18’ tokens just before the RCB vs KKR match of IPL 2025 i.e. 22 March. Let us tell you that Virat has spent his entire IPL career playing for RCB.

Started with Deccan Chargers

Rohit Sharma started his historic IPL career playing for Deccan Charger. The team of Deccan Chargers was abolished after the fifth season of IPL. In 2011, Mumbai Indians included him in his team, which Rohit has won the Indian Premier League title 5 times under his captaincy. His Under Mi captured the IPL trophy in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.

Rohit Sharma is the second highest match player in IPL history. So far, he has played 263 matches, with his name 6,686 runs. Rohit is also the highest run -scorer for the Mi team in the Indian Premier League history. Rohit has so far scored 5,813 runs in 227 matches for Mumbai.

Rohit has also scored 2 centuries and 36 fifty in his magnificent and historical career. Unfortunately the season of IPL 2025 has not been good for him, where so far he has been able to score only 82 runs in 6 matches played.
