Rohit sharma toughest bowler: Rohit Sharma has been one of the most successful cricketers in the world in the last decade. Rohit has also faced veteran and most dangerous bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar and Brett Lee in his career, but ‘Hitman’ did not have the most difficult to face a new Australian bowler but ‘Hitman’.

This bowler overshadowed Rohit Sharma

On Beyond23 Cricket Podcast, Rohit Sharma was asked which bowler he was most difficult to face in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Talking to veteran Australian player Michael Clarke, he said, “It was the most difficult to face Scott Bolland. We assessed his tap and wanted to see where we could score against him. On 90 percent occasions he was bowling on the right tapp.”

Rohit Sharma said that Bolland was not giving space to open hands, was not bowling even on full length. Rohit said that the run-up of the Bolland is straight and holds the seam in different ways. Scott Bolland got a chance in the playing XI in place of injured Josh Hazlewood in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Rohit took 21 wickets in just 3 matches in the Test series.

Scott Bolland especially proved to be a worse dream for Virat Kohli. Bolland succeeded in dismissing Virat Kohli 4 times out of five innings. He made his Test debut in 2021 for Australia. Bolland has so far taken a total of 56 wickets in his 13 -match Test career. If we look at Rohit Sharma, he has been successful in scoring just 56 runs in five matches played in IPL 2025.
