Mumbai Crime Branch’s investigation into the firing at the house of famous Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty has revealed shocking revelations. Investigation has revealed that this entire incident was co-ordinated from the two safest jails of the country, Delhi’s Tihar Jail and Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail. The accused arrested from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh told the police that the strings of this conspiracy were linked to the operatives of Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

According to the police, the main responsibility of firing at Rohit Shetty’s house was given to ‘Agra Module’. Shooter Deepak Chandra was in the lead role in this module. Investigation revealed that Golu Pandit, a member of Lawrence Gang, lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, had coordinated this entire module. There was an old acquaintance between Golu Pandit and Shubham Lonkar, due to which Shubham had entrusted the task of recruiting new boys for the firing to Golu.

The process of recruiting shooters was very well thought out. Golu Pandit, who was lodged in Tihar, contacted a person named Vishnu Kushwaha, who later prepared shooter Deepak and other boys for this crime. Later Shubham Lonkar and Arju Bishnoi came in direct contact with Deepak and his associates and were lured to pay huge amount in exchange for work. The surprising thing is that just a few days before the arrest of the shooters, Golu Pandit was released on bail, now Mumbai Police is busy searching for him.

At the same time, the task of providing vehicles and weapons for this incident was entrusted to ‘Pune Module’. Police investigation has revealed that this module was being operated by Shubham Lonkar’s brother Praveen Lonkar. Praveen Lonkar is currently lodged in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail and is also accused of murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. Praveen was handling this entire logistics from inside the jail.

Now Mumbai Police is preparing to take remand of Praveen Lonkar to get to the bottom of this matter. The police hope that during the interrogation of Praveen, even deeper secrets of this conspiracy can be revealed. This case clearly shows how criminals are hatching conspiracies to target big personalities of Bollywood while sitting behind the bars.

Now investigation has revealed that the gang had used “dead drop” technique to carry out this entire incident, so that it could escape from the police.

Used dead drop technique
According to Crime Branch sources, mastermind Shubham Lonkar had designed this operation in such a way that if any single link is broken, the entire chain cannot be exposed. The arrested accused Swapnil Sakat and Siddharth Yenpure came to Mumbai from Pune on a scooter, but they did not meet the main shooter.

• Method of conspiracy-The accused parked the scooty at a secluded and fixed location and immediately returned to Pune.
• Delivery of weapon: The pistol used in the crime was kept hidden in the trunk of the scooter.
• Chain Cutting- The shooter went alone and picked up the scooter and weapon from that location, due to which the delivery people did not know who the shooter was.

‘Pune connection’ of weapons
Investigation has also made it clear that the pistol used in the firing was purchased from Pune at the behest of Shubham Lonkar. The police is now interrogating the accused Asaram Fasale and investigating the supply chain of the weapon. Ballistic experts are trying to find out whether the same pistol has been used in any crime before.

Sources said that the surprising thing is that many of the arrested accused are childhood friends of Shubham Lonkar. According to the police, these youth had jumped into this swamp after being influenced by the criminal image of Lonkar. Apart from Swapnil Sakat (who already has a case under Arms Act registered against him), no previous major criminal record of other accused has been found.

Police could not catch the main shooter
It has been six days since the incident, but the main shooter is still out of the reach of the police. Bishnoi gang’s strategy of working in different modules has made the investigation complicated. The biggest challenge for Mumbai Police now is to find the shooter, who holds the last link of this entire puzzle.
