The incident of firing at the house of Bollywood producer-director Rohit Shetty in Mumbai has created a sensation. Now a new CCTV footage has emerged in this case. In the footage, the accused shooter is seen running away from the spot immediately after the incident. Police are considering this video as an important part of the investigation.

Unclaimed scooter found from Vile Parle

This incident of firing took place in the early hours of 1st February. After the incident, Mumbai Police recovered an abandoned scooter near a hotel in Vile Parle West. It is being told that this place is about two kilometers away from Shetty Tower. Police suspect that the accused came to the spot on this scooter and after the incident left it there and ran away.

Attempt to destroy evidence, forensic team gathered

Preliminary investigation revealed that an attempt was made to destroy physical evidence from the scooter. However, the police immediately called the forensic team to the spot. The team has collected fingerprints, DNA samples and other important evidence from the scooter. Officials say that this evidence will help in reaching the accused.

Conspiracy related to second-hand scooter

Investigation also revealed that this second-hand Honda DO scooter was purchased from Aman Marote, a resident of Karve Nagar on the outskirts of Pune. According to the police, this scooter was bought by 19-year-old Aditya Gayaki, one of the five accused arrested in this case.

According to the information, this scooter was purchased in mid-January for about Rs 30 thousand. Police say that this purchase was done on the instructions of Samarth Pomaji and at the behest of Shubham Lonkar. Money for this was provided by Swapnil Sakat.

At present, the police is interrogating all the accused and further investigation is going on based on CCTV footage and forensic report.

Now recently, Mumbai Police has recreated the entire scene in this case, from Rohit’s house to the escape of the shooters. By doing this, the police is taking the investigation of the case forward and is busy locating the accused.

This is how the scene was recreated
In the case of firing at Rohit Shetty’s house, Mumbai Crime has recreated the scene of bringing the scooty from Pune to Mumbai. During this recreation, the crime branch had kept the four accused arrested from Pune, Swapnil Sakat, Aditya Gayaki, Siddharth Yenpure and Samarth Pomaji. According to sources, the crime branch has recreated every scene from purchasing the scooter from Pune, bringing it from there to Mumbai by road, parking the scooter outside Vile Parle station in Mumbai, including the places where the accused stayed while bringing it to Mumbai.

Videography was also done
During this recreation, the Crime Branch team continuously interrogated the accused and verified the information given by them. This entire scene recreation has been properly videographed by the Crime Branch, which will prove to be a major evidence against the accused in this case.

Revelations made during interrogation of the accused
According to Mumbai Crime Branch, during the scene recreation, the accused told during interrogation that after taking the scooty to Mumbai, the main accused Shubham Lonkar had given them another Rs 11,000. Earlier, the Mumbai Crime Branch had officially said that the accused would get Rs 40 thousand, but when the investigation progressed and the interrogation took place, it came to light that a total of Rs 51 thousand were given to them, out of which a scooter worth Rs 30 thousand was purchased, while Rs 21 thousand was spent by them.

Search continues for shooter
According to sources, the custody of Praveen Lonkar, the 6th accused in this case, will be taken from jail in the coming two to three days, because its legal papers are still in progress, even after two weeks in this case, the shooter and his accomplice are still out of the reach of the police and their search is going on.

Mumbai Police has taken a big step in the firing incident outside the house of filmmaker Rohit Shetty. Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) has been imposed on the five accused arrested in this case. After the police custody of the five accused ended on Wednesday, they were presented in the special MCOCA court. The court has sent all the five accused to police custody till 17 February.

Mumbai Crime Branch had demanded 15 days police custody of these accused, but the Special Court refused to give such long custody. Order has been given to send him to police custody only for the period till 17th February.

The police had already arrested five people in this case. These accused are accused of firing outside Rohit Shetty’s house. After the incident, the police formed 12 teams. At the same time, Mumbai Crime Branch immediately started investigation and took these five into custody within a few days.

There have been many revelations in the initial investigation, after which the police decided to impose MCOCA. MCOCA is a strict law, which is used in cases like organized crime, gang war and extortion. Under this law, the accused does not get bail easily and the police get more powers during the investigation.

‘Something big has to be done in Mumbai’

At the same time, Mumbai Crime Branch has made a big revelation in the investigation of the firing case at Rohit Shetty’s house. The absconding accused Shubham Lonkar was planning to spread terror in Mumbai. He had told the arrested accused that ‘something big has to be done in Mumbai.’

Apart from this, Shubham had given three weapons to his brother Praveen Lonkar. Praveen delivered these weapons to the arrested accused involved in the Rohit Shetty firing case. Now the police will take Praveen Lonkar into custody and interrogate him thoroughly. Police say that this conspiracy could be bigger. Raids and surveillance have been intensified to arrest absconding Shubham Lonkar soon.
