Nightclub roof collapse: The roof suddenly collapsed in a famous nightclub in the Republic of Dominican, killing 218 people. This incident took place on the morning of Tuesday (April 08, 2025). Rescue operations are still going on and people are being searched. However, the officials have claimed that from the day this incident happened, no person was found alive since the day.

Juan Manuel Mendez, director of the Center of Emergency Operations, said that the employees present at the scene are still searching for the victims and the survivors. He said, we will not leave anyone, our work will continue. Meanwhile, dozens of people in the capital of Santo Domingo are still looking for their acquaintances and are disappointed at getting no response even after searching the hospitals.

Many people hospitalized in critical condition

Doctors warned that some of the two dozen patients hospitalized are still not completely healthy, especially the condition of eight is critical. Other doctors said that many victims have also fractured in the skull. The government said on Wednesday night that it is moving towards the recovery phase, focusing on finding the bodies, but the emergency operating center director Juan Manual Mendez said that the employees present at the scene are still looking for the victims and the survivors, although no one has been alive since Tuesday afternoon.

How did the incident happen?

In fact, on Tuesday morning, the dust started falling from the roof on Tuesday morning and the soil started falling in the drinks of the people. During this time, musicians, professional athletes and government officials were present in this club. On seeing this, the roof fell down and hundreds of people got buried under it. Randolpho Rijo Gomez, director of the country’s 911 system, said that he received more than 100 calls, many of which were made by people buried under the debris.
